This weekend We Drove the Rover about 334 miles round trip to Last Maples State Natural Area in the Texas Hill Country and back to Austin. The Rover drove Great other and throwing another O2 sensor Code. I knew it was going to do that because I replaced the drive side O2 sensor last week, not a surprise the tend to all go really close together. How ever on the drive home we ran the AC on the Floor and out the mane vents. If is how I normally have run in my old jeeps to keep the feet cool and is an old habit. When we got home the whole passenger floor board was soaked with Hot water. Any Idea what this could be??? I have had that happen In a jeep when the condensation drip was plugged. Im drying git out now. should I not run ac on the floor vent?

thanks

Nate

If it is coolant then the heater core blew. If it is water your drain pipe for the a/c is clogged. You need to look up underneath the truck and look for two black nipples. Take those nipples and squeeze till junk start dripping out.

Yep you need to clean your nipples LOL! They are on both sides of the tranny around the bellhousing IIRC. Just reach up and feel around you will find them. They have a cross cut in the rubber that gets clogged up with mud. Be sure to pull that carpet up and dry it out. You will be amazed at how much water the open cell foam holds. This is why I pulled all my carpet out and herculined my entire interior!

This foam sucks! It is open celled. If you are going to the trouble of replacing the foam try to find something that is closed cell.

I've also had the tube become disconnected in the passenger footwell, so if a bunch of water doesn't come out of the nipple drains, check the tube connection in the interior footwell.

WOW thats all I have to say! I just pulled the nipples out of the tube and think dog I did! there just know way I would have goton all that gunk out of them other wise. Its a cool Idea to keep mud out but the sure fill up with AC gunk! I think Ill keep mine out for good!

Bit of a thread resurrection here, but I had some water under the carpet & foam on my D1 recently. I wasn't using the AC, but this is Seattle so what do you expect in June-uary. AC drain plug nipple was clean, I pulled the kick panel and couldn't find any tube back there in the mess of wires that looked like it carried water, except for one that came out from behind the vertical trim panel in front of the door. A-pillar or sunroof drain, perhaps. That tube vanished into the nether regions of the firewall, I couldn't find where it ultimately went.

However, on the plastic strip along the base of the windshield, I did find a 1/4" gap between two pieces of the plastic. I couldn't bring the gap together and didn't want to crack the plastic trying, so I sealed the gap with some waterproof tape. We'll see how this holds up.

Be prepared to get an armpit-full of nasty water when you squeeze 'em....

Look up as high as you can adjacent to the bellhousing.
