You're right. I'm behind the times. So this will be a group of LR3 owners standing around watching a sole D2 driving through deep water?

This time it was a group of disco owners standing around watching a sole D-90 in deep water.

Note: I did not get wet. The water was right at the door :)

Where exactly were you guys wheeling? I live in Barnegat and have never wheeled the Barrens. I had hoped to join you but was out of the area on Saturday. That said, how can I get to where you were? (if that makes any sense).

Great pictures! Looks like it was a blast. Being out in the 4 Corners area, I haven't done much water/mud slogging outside of crossing the Delores River near Moab occasionally which is tame compared to what you all did.

Okay, I stand corrected. Is it fresh water in the Pine Barrens? I'd hate to drive through brackish or salt water as prone as Rovers are to frame and underbody rust.

The last time I followed Mr. Canus through a mountain stream, I got water in my starter. It froze at night so that the bendix wouldn't engage in the morning.

The NJ Pine Barrens has some of the cleanest water in the world. It is clean and clear, and many places we cross are creeks.

What destroys the vehicles is the sand that gets into all the gears and such...requires a lot of maintenance and gear oil...

The water can be dangerous when it's two inches of thick ice...that really broke parts on some vehicles this year...
