$1.42 per litre is what read for a summer high today, I don't know how much that is true and I hope it is not. I am glad I walk to work!!!

I do not think that LR will disappear because they are in many countries that fuel is cheaper than water so... They may suffer here a little but if you can afford a rover then you can afford the gas I guess. Once again I wish for diesel for the efficency but the price is not much better!

Hi Chris,

Prices have hit 88.5/L (for regular) today so you may not be far off.

Too much short sightedness going on. If this continues, the gov't is going to create a recession on it's own because these gas prices affect a lot of other areas. People are just going to stop spending and going out. Everyone will suffer. They better be ready because I think this is going to be a really bad thing regardless of whether you drive a gas guzzler or not.

I could easily see the LR dealer here closing shop because the sales will tank for sure. They're small and don't sell a lot to begin with so this won't help them at all. There's no real advantage or benefit to buying a LR now with gas prices as they are. It will be the first thing a prospective customer thinks about when thinking about buying a vehicle.

Alan,

I was up at your dealership last summer just to check it out, and yeah it is smaller than the one here and when I was in edmonton I sure did not see LR's anywhere either. But I think that they are under David Morris are they not so I think that closing the doors would not happen, at least for awhile. I can say the the staff that I spoke to there were more pleasant to deal with than perhaps here. But Edmonton is just not a real fan of the imports it seems.

I think that the thing that bugs me is that I saw on the "Roverlanders of BC" that they had 95 Discoveries in Alberta for as low as like $5800 CDN. I just never thought they could be had for that. Maybe american $ but... So if anyone one is looking there are a few here.
