The 5VZ-FE puts out similar oomph (190 hp/220 lbft) to a 3.9 or 4.0 Rover, out of a V6. Plus, a TRD blower will give at least another 50 hp and 50 lbft. I could pick up a rolled T100 4x4 with a complete drivetrain for about $2500 -- engine, trans, xfer case, axles... In effect, I could build a Land Cruiser Range Rover. Why not?

You can build anything you want if you have the right ratio of money, time, and fabrication skills. It's definitely not a drop-in. Hell, this guy build the Family Truckster from Vacation for $7000. Not my cup of tea, but anything's possible. Personally, I'd make my RRC submersible like the Esprit from "The Spy who Loved Me"

I really don't think it's a bad idea. I mean a lot of people on here are swapping in the axles your just taking it a step or two further. I say if you have the time and patience go for it.

Oh and that family truckster replica is awesome. I think you added a extra zero he paid $700 for the wagon and never put down a total cost.

The big problem I see is the the width of the wheel track between the two trucks.

I didn't see "Honkey Lips" painted on this one. That's lame. If you're gonna go that far, go balls out.
