Can't see the pic you posted, but talk about mead, I had this one a few times - Viking Blod. Holy mackerel, it is tasty, but also clocks in at 19% but you wouldn't be able to tell from tasting it (sure sign of trouble). Served locally in a 4oz glass for obvious reasons.

Evan Williams. Single barrel. Very nice.

Found Bowman Brothers Virginia Straight Bourbon Whiskey in TN. Really good (esp for the price).

x10 on Bowman Brothers stuff. The distillery is 10 minutes from me. Good stuff, especially as you mentioned, for the price. Been my go to bourbon of choice past year or so.

Been sampling (repeatedly) some Port City (Alexandria, VA) brews. Really like their whole line, even the hoppy stuff which I am typically not a big fan of. Stop by their brewery if you are in the area.

On a different note, who got all those cases of Pappy that got jacked some time ago?

Anyone been able to get their hands on any of the Buffalo Trace Antique Collection? Eagle Rare 17 yo, Handy, Stagg, or Weller? Or any of the EH Taylor single barrel?

I'm looking at any of these if I can find some or Orphan Barrel Rhetoric.

Thoughts?

New Hampshire mountains IPA… it's nice to find an IPA that's not jacked up. It's only 4.5. and like the can says an All Nighter. Could be a bit hoppier.

IPAs are supposed to be jacked up. That is one on the ways it would survive the trip to India.

From my understanding the higher amount of hops was for the trip and the high alcohol level was an added bonus.

Session IPA. The new thing apparently. I'm a fan, I can drink more of em :D
Exactly! It's nice to have 2 or 3 beers and not got slammed. Had a real nice one when I was working in NOLA called All Night IPA by Founders Brewing Company out of Michigan.

Founder's All Day IPA is my go-to since most bars seem to carry it in cans. Summer is my favorite beer season.

There is a place down south where I go surfing that is funnily enough called the meadery in a town called New Lynn.

Not like any restaurant. You call the waitress' wench and just get shittered and eat amazing food all night.

Also for the record. I'm having a freezing can of bud (joys of solar). Mad Bud (Mal) is enjoying his cup of tea with a tot of brandy n his bowl.
