I hate to say it, but pulling the original thread only seemed to create more interest.

The thread was still active when I clocked out last night and I didn't see anything that would have caused it to get yanked. At least nothing as disturbing as finding out one of your fellow dweb'ers has a picture of Burt Reynolds on a bear rug in his collection. :p

It's pretty funny that all this got going over the price of 3 tanks of gas. True, it is the principle, but if it were me I probably would have taken it as a lesson learned and move on. Unless there was something else expected besides $125, then the story changes completely. ;) Anyway, that whole deal makes for a great story around some dweb campfire...

At this point, I'd have to respect RoverChic more for staying away: this one is way beyond the point of saving face. (EDIT: Ok, she just spoke up. I was wrong about saving face. Good for you, Rover Chic.)

And speaking of stories, what is the deal with the GWagen chic? There are pictures floating about???

Mary had a little sheep,
And with this sheep
She went to sleep.
The sheep turned out
To be a ram
And Mary had a little lamb!

Sorry, I saw her location listed as the headquarters of Exxon Mobil, so I assumed she lived in Houston.

Roverchic, just substitute your hometown into the search link above.

The monetary reparation due was calculated based off of the total amount/bill ($745.80 which includes any applicable sales tax of 13%) supplied by the management office at the Cottonwood Condominiums for the specified stay and the total number of occupants during that time of habitation. While the two-night stay amount totals $83.00, $125.00 is being forwarded for your colossal inconvenience and tremendous loss due to this experience. This cash payment hereby satisfies the aforementioned debt in full.

You may be good at lawyering and such but math you are not. Maybe you were not present when it was explained since you very much on your own program. The bill wasn't being broken up by the # of occupants but by the # of rooms. In my breakdown below you will see how it was decided who was paying what. I believe we counted the living room as a room.

So by my calculations Steve overcharged you by $ .20 which for planning organizing such a trip is nothing. He should have charged you more for the stupid wine coolers you had him buy and didn't drink.

248.60 a night

4 rooms first night 62.15/per

4 rooms second night 62.15/per

3 rooms third night 82.87/per

As far as your side of the story, I'd love to hear it. That was by far the weirdest time I have had on a trip anywhere.
