It's an external sound card. You get better sound quality if you have a pc or laptop with crappy sound and you want to hook it up to your stereo or headphones. You also get better quality and more connection options if you want to use your pc as a recording device. I have something similar from Roland, and I have been using it with an old Dell laptop and a turntable to digitize some of my vinyl records.

You'll be able to run real headphones from some portable music players, phones, and laptops. Some just won't play well with tiny devices or simple audio outputs. As Axel said, it's essentially a tiny decoder and amplifier that is meant to be superior to that in your music storage or playback device.

Cheers,

Yeah - they messed up. They saw "J.B." and thought "Jeff Bang"...you can of course understand the mix up. Just send it on to me if you would.

And Duke Nukem?

1, 2, and Duke 3D Megaton Edition. :D

I've got computers in every flavor, all the way back to IBM 5150s. I send obscure games and programs to archivists when I scrape them off old storage media when I find them, but I keep copies.

So, I've got the good stuff you remember, as plenty of stuff people have forgotten.

It's a nice bit of relaxation on the side that allows cheap tinkering. I'm always out for old PCs and parts, if anyone has stuff laying around.

I should place an ad in the wanted section. I know some of you buggers are sitting on some neat junk you don't want.

Cheers,

Kennith

I'll have to see if I've still got two TRS-80 Color Computer 2s in my mom's garage. She may have already sold them in a garage sale.

Please do check. I'm always interested in this stuff.:)

Wanted ad has been placed.

Cheers,

I'll look around, know I have a few things you may want. Had a 486-dx2 66 MB laying around for a while. I do have an AMD-64 Newcastle Chip if you're interested. Single Core.
