Short blocked my 96 disco. I had it torn all the way down and a couple cylinders were over 8 thou out of round. Since they were all B pistons I was kind of stuck. So now I have an old block and pistons gathering dust. Should I take it to the local metal salvage yard? A sleeve job costs more than a short block. Other than telling me to put it where the sun don't shine or use it for a planter - is it only worth the salvage yard?

BTW the rearmost cam lobe wasn't any more. Rocker shaft tube was plugged too. My 97 was the same way when I rebuilt it. Previous owners must not have liked to change oil.

Thanks,
Marv

Bring it to St. Louis, it will be stolen within hours of your arrival. I speak from experience.

i cant imagine you getting more than $.50 for the whole short block considering that a gutted d2 with all kinds of misc. metal shoved where the sun doesnt shine only fetched $87....

go martha stewart on that crap
