What's a dead engine worth?

I replaced the engine in my 1999 D1 when it threw a rod right after coming from the shop. Is it worth putting up for sale or should I send it to the scrap yard? I don't have the ability to rebuild it and need to remove it from the shop. Sorry if it's a naïve question, have never had to replace an engine in all these years. $6k later and I still have the death wobble it went in for. :banghead:

If you want to pull the crank and torch out the sleeves you can do that
