I forgot to mention alll of the Fiats, Volvos, Corvairs, Cadillacs, Chevy P/U's, Benz's, VW's, MG's, BMW's, NSU's (two of em - cool little cars) and even a couple of French cars that it took to develop my theory. Of course it could be completely false since I've never owned a Japanese car (a few Honda motorcycles is as close as I got). Its been a fun ride and most of my junk has been what some people term "character building".

Currently in stock we have...

1995 Disco, heavily modified, mostly trail use
1966 Series 88", great shape, always tinkering, don't drive it much
1993 Toyota FZJ80, 180K miles runs like a top, 33" tires on stock suspension

1999 Toyota 100 series, stock, sweet ride for the Mrs.
2004 Toyota Tacoma, work truck

Any of the first three are for sale at any given time. Glad I'm buying insurance in VA, though!

ASH-I LOVE that old Mercedes! My first two cars were a '79 300D and an '81 300D.....wonderful, wonderful cars.....I learned a lot of about quirky old vehicles though! Also learned how to get a running start for the hills in VA with a 5 cyl VERY underpowered engine!

Porsches, the older ones (air cooled) are the most bulletproof cars I've ever owned.

I think I got a little tingle 'down there' with that plane pic... I almost took the plunge last year when a Staggerwing came on the market. Wife talked me out of it and said she wanted a Rangie instead.

Yep, a Staggerwing would've been very nice! 805 is a 1941 Boeing PT-13D "Stearman" w/ a Continental W-670 (220 HP) engine and a Sensinich 98AA66 wood prop.....very smooth ride.

Robbie, e me a few pics of your father-in-laws plane.

Its a very unique car...thats for sure. The 4.5 V8 has very smooth power, and the it honestly rides like a brand new Mercedes does. The quality of this car is pretty impressive for it's year...but the engines' been pretty tempramental since I got her. Mainly ignition problems, sputtering when it warms up etc....but the problems have been solved and she's road worthy again.

The sad part is...insurance for a 16-year old driver with two cars isnt exactly cheap, not to mention gas prices. Theres absolutely no way I can part with my Rover, so I've gotta let the Benz go. She's currently for sale through my dad's dealership :( .

Spot on Marcus - it is a US thing - for some reason they couldn't didn't use the regular square SD1 headlights on the US version. I kind of prefer the twin round lights anyway - kind of remind me of the old RS2000

Agro, the 1998 993 twin turbo has always been my favorite Porsche... I always wanted one of those.. I like the 928s4 also but, I've been made fun of for that one.. Seems if it isn't rear engine it's not a Porsche..

Is yours a twin turbo? Or were all 993's twin turbos? I'm not sure as I'm not that knowledgable about Porsche or spelling for that matter.. :D
