Yes I have read most of the posts about springs and the fights over what is the best and whats not. I have decided to go with the bearmachs mostly because of the price... I don't intend on having them fo the life of my truck. I just need some lift at an affordable price right now. So where do I get them state side???

( FYI I will eventually be going with the OME HD springs later but I just can't afford them right now)

Thanks,
Chris

Spend 40.00 and get RTE.....

For less than the cost of a cup of coffee a day for a month you will feel secure that all four corners are riding on a sturdy foundation made here in the USA.

What he said. You'll find alot of RTE springs here, and every one is happy with them. Thecost isn't that much more and you pay, and do the work only once.

i did. and as always its the same people saying the same thing. so it doesnt really answer the question. i just think its gay that people get so bent out of shape over them. usually its the people who don't even have them. meanwhile people like me who have them are saying "hey they're fine, chill out." i serioulsy don't have a single problem with them. i load my vehicle down big time for weekend trips and it still doesnt sag. if they did i would of replaced them. of course i have an arb bumper, which is also a piece of shit aparently so what do i know. i guess there's a fine line dividing people who just enjoy their rovers and what you can do with them, and people who obsess with making sure everyone else knows they have a better truck than the next asshole.

Ive had both BB springs and RTE on my RRC. My front drivers side BB spring basically sagged down about 2" within a year. And at that time, I lived in flat Long Island and did very mild offroading (if you can call it that!). Then I switched to RTE, problem solved.

If I was building a 77 Caddy, I'd use BB springs for that cushy Cadillac ride ;)

back ten years ago big blues were all the rage...then almost all the people that had them had saggy trucks so they switched to better springs.

at the same time the ARB were a bolt on bumper...lots of guys bent the crap outa them using high lifts and dragging them over rocks. so people formed a opinion.

you can love what you have ...nobody will stop you. But keep in mind that the community will always speak up about what works best and big blues and ARB havent stood the test of time.

maybe we need to start tossing shit out the window again.

I had Big Blues for about 2 years, smooth ride, great articulation - no complaints until I loaded up for long weekend off-roading/camping trips and then they became wobbly and saggy and actually kind of scary at times at 70mph highway speeds. I off-road every month and use my truck as a daily driver, and put about 30,000 miles on them during that time.

I switched to RTE because I do need to load my truck down for long trips and the stiffness of the RTE's makes my truck a lot safer in those situations and the slightly harsher ride is a small trade-off.

If you are just going to ride around town and don't feel you'll ever load up your truck, they might be fine for you. As someone who is not a DAP hater (I buy from them a lot), I would still recommend you spend a little more and get the RTE or OME springs as you won't get caught short should your needs change.
