Which takes us back to one of my earlier points, and thus, the problem:

We loose our control over our government in direct relation to how few people are interested in serving that government.
The main point you keep avoiding is the fact that Obama's political philosophy is in direct opposition to how this country was founded. If you support Obama, you support a tearing down of the system of Government you claim to be so strong that it will simply ride out the storm. EVERYONE knows this who has studied our system of government in an honest and unbiased way -- the system breaks when the people who run it get selfish. The system breaks when the people stop participating (check voting rates lately) because we
are the system. The system can be torn down from within by simply changing it into something else.
Obama would not even have been elected to Congress if people were paying attention to this fact.
You keep saying I'm just making it up when I say Obama is not a Socialist -- prove it. Obama's own voting record, his history has proven my point. I would like to see evidence to the contrary, evidence to show that he does not want to change America.
(By the way, I watched a few minutes of his speech tonight... all he talked about was Bush -- Bush isn't running! No matter how much you try, McCain is not Bush -- you just can't squish them together enough to make that true.)
