Will a D1 hood fit inside a D1?

I've managed to find a used D1 hood, will it fit in the back to bring it home? Do I have to take the rear seats out?

Taking the old one off when we get there, swapping them out & cutting the old one up isn't n option...

Thanks in advance

Paul.

Does your D1 not have a roof? Strap it up there!

By some pool noodles, slit it down the center along the total length of the pool noodle, place it over both sides of your factory roof rails, then place the new hood to you above that, and strap it down with tie downs the ratchet type. Then take pictures and post it.

Ya do this. Then send a second picture to squirt. The one where it flies off and destroys cars behind you.

It won't go anywhere if he knows how to properly secure stuff.
I'd skip the pool noodles though. Get some pipe foam insulation from the hardware store, its already slit.

I've finagled a D1 hood into a D1.

I think the back seat was folded up and forward. Started it in diagonally (top corner of door to bottom corner) and "twist" it back flat as possible as it clears the door frame.

I don't think much, if any, of it was touching the floor when in IIRC.
