USA draws Group C and faces off against England on the 12th of June. Rest of the group is Algeria and Slovenia. A pretty good draw for us!

Group G with Brazil, Ivory Coast, North Korea and Portugal is pure death.

It depends on which US team shows up to play...if the team that beat spain in the confederations cup shows, the group is ours. There is really no way of knowing. We could spank the hell out of the Brits and fall apart against the slovenian super attack...

Apparently so, and The USA team beat the English 1-0 in the 1950 World Cup in Brazil, to England's acute embarrassment ( and have only ever once worn a blue uniform once since then when they lost against Peru 4-1 in 1959)

Soccer is a gentlemen's game played by ruffians.

Rugby is a ruffians game played by gentlemen.

And yes, the announcers on the Spanish language channels are awesome. If ESPN has a bunch of American idiots running their mouths during their coverage then I'm going to watch on Univision. I might even learn some important football vocabulary in espanol.
