Blew out yet ANOTHER steering box. This time it was my fault (trying to move around a non-running Disco).
Let me know what you've got....

I just went through this and tried a used one which was advertised "no leaks" from a guy on eBay and after spending half a day getting it in there, I fired it up and it promptly leaked half the fluid onto my garage floor before I ever got out of the garage. Since I didn't get around to installing it until after the seller's 60 day warranty, he told me sorry out of luck and offered to sell me another "no leak" box if I'd send him another 150.00. Lol. Just ended up throwing power steering stop leak in it and I'm going to pop for a brand new one eventually at 950.00.
Got a good dry box when this starts to leak again. Check your hose in the back of the pump, the clamp can cause wear in the hose, mimicking a leak.
I tried it on two steering boxes now, and both times Blue Devil stopped the leak.Lucas Stop Leak did nothing for me so I tried a third of a bottle of Blue Devil (White Shepherd) Power Steering Stop Leak and believe it or not the leak has stopped completely. All dry now. Amazing.

... however, both blew sector shaft seals between two and three weeks after. It may be a pure coincidence, I know.
