You Bought My Truck

So I just want to rant a second. Guy buys my truck from 3 hours away, drives it one hour with the parking brake on. Parking brake comes unglued, slowing the truck down and sometimes stopping it at certain speeds. Calls me, demands his money back, and for me to come get it.

I'm just not the kind of guy to tell him to screw off cause he signed a bill of sale, so now, I have a broke truck, he has his money back, and the world is all happy, even the AAA tow truck driver.

Sorry, I am livid right now. Had to get it out.

If it really was him that tore it up, I would have told him to fix his own damn truck, and welcome him to Land Rover ownership.

He told you he drove with the parking brake on?

Fuck that shit, get a lawyer and sue his ass for the repair bill.

That irritates me, not a much as im sure it irritates you. Why is it that when people do dumb shit they dont want to take responsibility for their actions????

Why in the hell would you take it back? Am I the only one noticing that this was probably the bone-head of the year move posted here on DiscoWeb???

My guess is is that the OP doesn't have proof that the buyer broke it, considered it a possibility he sold an accident waiting to happen, and guilt got the best of him.

If the OP has proof that the buyer actually did break it by being a dumbass, then the move of taking it back is beyond me.

Sorry, been away for a bit. I have had numerous people test drive it, driven it to wheel in Windrock multiple times, taken trips, never had a problem with the truck at all. The parking brake being on is just a guess of mine...I have never had to replace anything to do with the parking brake on these trucks, so it seems to me to be kind of odd. Even the local dealership says they haven't, and don't keep the parts in stock.

Truth is, I am probably a better person than I should be, and more than one person has told me I should have told them to drive it up their ass. Just couldn't bring myself to do it...maybe it is my inner belief in karma. It may very well have been a problem waiting to show itself, or they could have driven with it on, I truly don't know.
