1993 RRC LWB
I am installing a lt230 transfer case and replacing the rear seal on the transmission while I have the T/C off but have a few questions.
1. Is it ok to remove the output shaft from the ZF or will removal of the output shaft let parts drop or cause problems?
2. Does removing the single bolt going into the output shaft allow it to slide out?
From what I have seen n my searches it sounds like it just slips out of the transmission and back in without issue but I figure it is better to make sure before I yank it out since I really do not want to tear down/ rebuild the transmission if I am wrong
