Mr. lunchbox where did you get your RHD knuckle and from? May want to move track rod in front so I can put in caster correcting balls since my pinion angle is gonne be around 20*. Any reason why I wouldnt be able to fit one of Keiths high clerance track rods in the front? Just thinking out loud

In order to move the track rod in front, due to interference with the panhard rod, about five inches of lift is indicated.

I was disabused of that idea back when John Bradley-Smith still owned RTE.

I don't understand the desire to move the track rod given the protector that is part of the three link.

I got my parts for my three-link Saturday. Unfortunately, the guy who cut them, only cut half the parts I needed as a result, I'm still waiting.

Only reason I would fit the track rod to the front is to fit caster corrected balls. I have a RTE panhard and in a pic lunch box sent me looked like he had a pretty slick set up.

Once again just cause I want to get that pinion up high and the stupid track rod guard that does hang down lower that the track rod. I guess goal is pinion +1*-0* with shaft in front since it rotates down when on gas but getting the caster as corrected as possible on the flip side. All while keeping track rod high and tight in front. I have read the thread on Pirate that Denny started a while ago and I guess I am going down the same route :D

I have 3in lift. I got the RHD drive knuckle set up from Randy. With the 3-link, you can't use castor corrected swivels unless you enlarge the track rod box or move the track rod up front. I've done both at one point. I'd suggest moving the track rod over enlarging the box. Enlarging the box just makes it a bigger anchor.

Ahhh I remember Randy telling me he had that a while ago.. Yea I saw the larger box mod and now that I see where it sits I agree. I guess you lose track rod protection but not getting hung up on it as much is probably a better hand off. The box isnt AS bad when I have the pinion where I need it.

You know where I can get a single monster arm for best price? Just emailed terra and quadratec to see if they sell them individually

Teraflex sells them individually. Just call and order one. I got mine at a shop in St Louis. I sold the whole kit years ago.

yea yea yea, give me a couple months with this one and then I am sure I'll be on to something new anyway..

If I could do it over, I would keep the 3-link. However, I would cut the box off and weld a center link mount on the axle. I would also weld the upper arm brackets to the axle. I plan on starting my front rebuild soon. I had to replace both thirds after my last trip and ran out of coin

damn, I hope I never have to replace a front diff with this damn 3 link... I saw the diff covers "access plates" that Devon 4x4 makes but aparently not enough room to adjust backlash with it in.

I think this design is ok for a bolt on piece. I would weld the lower link bracket to the axle and relocate the steering out front it I was to weld one on.

Let me know if you want to do this, I have a brand new RH drive left side knuckle and all the steering bars already cut to length and welded up and the rod end stuff ready to go.

Thanks Denny - do you plan on keeping an extra set of these around? Let me see how the truck drives but I'm thinking some caster correction may be in order..

The knuckle is the only part that is made of unobtainium, the rest of it is readily available.

Can you email me price and pics when you have some free time?

Why doesnt somebody import a whole bunch of RHD knuckles, stock them, and sell them for a decent price? Maybe a guy named Justin?
