Plus $200(?) shipping from the UK. How much does a pair of calipers weigh? 25 pounds? Unless Her Majesty's Royal Mail has a flat rate international box for those things the freight costs will be high.

Last pair of calipers I shipped I used a USPS flat rate box that ran about $15. The postal employee at the counter gave me a really dirty look when I plonked that box down. USPS probably lost money on that shipment.

For now, I just replaced the rotors and pads in the rear. Maybe things improve somewhat.

By the way, found a reason why left rear caliper appeared to be sticking - one pad rotated about 8 degrees inside the caliper. One more reason to convert.

Not sure if I like how far that bracket places the caliper out from the axle, without much support. I'm sure it's fine, but yea, idk who thought putting shipwreck-grade photos on the site was a good idea.

The bracket places the caliper the same distance from the axle as the stock one, otherwise it wouldn't work.

So what's the advantage? They have bigger pads?

bigger pistons. bigger pads. larger diameter rotor. real retaining pins so the pads dont get all cockeyed after a while. i guess thicker rotor could be an advantage if you're the type who turns them rather than replaces them

Is this your recent effort? What was the cost in sourcing parts?

haven't driven it yet, took it down to fix a bunch of stuff before an upcoming trip. Had a real bad axle seal leak, so whatever this does it'll be an improvement.

I got it all from RN, and I went with the proline stuff.
