If someone really wants to kill someone, odds are they will succeed.
It is difficult to balance making that task less easy while also respecting the 2nd.
Of course. That's why moronic, feel good, restrictions on the second amendment only serve to make it easier to kill.
A gun free zone is the simplest example of how these restrictions on the second amendment has unintended consequences. Feel gooders setup a gun free zone to keep everyone safe. Anyone who is rational is going to leave their gun at home before going into a gun free zone because of the punishment involved. I can't carry my pistol into my kids school when I pick her up. Not only is it a gun free zone, but it's a weapons free zone. It's the safest place around.
The problem lies with the fact that when someone who is willing to die in order to serve the God of the religion of peace doesn't care about being punished by violating a gun law. These gun free zones are the perfect place for someone who "really wants to kill someone".
I'd have to do some research, but I think that nearly every of the mass shootings in the last 10 years have been in gun free zones.
According to the left, the only possible solution is to have more gun control. It is completely out of the realm of possibility to relax gun laws.
