I didn't stay at a holiday inn express last night, but given the accounts of how quickly he was getting shots off, that sounds like what he did.

If so, that would be one issue with selling them other than "it looks scary ".

Not from what I heard. I would go as far to say it was a standard Semi-auto. That said, he most likely would have killed fewer people with a full auto. I know there are no facts to back up this claim but a spray and pray method has often not proven effective in close quarter situations. Our GI's in WWII knew this all to well with their standard issue M1's. Make every bullet (and reload) count.

If you head full auto's I bet it was from those MP5's the SWAT Teams were toting around.

What would you expect from the BBC? They despise the US because we are silly enough to allow rednecks to carry guns. It's that simple. Of course they wouldn't say the same thing about France when Jews get killed by some maniac yelling Allahu Akbar.

I saw somewhere that even though Americans love their guns we are still ranked 111 of all countries combined in regards to per capita homicide. I want to say the stats were from 2012.

Ranking us against all countries is a bit flawed as you should really be excluding shit-poor 3rd world.

It's like the NFL. They say their crime rates are basically the same as the general population, but when you compare the rates to those in their actual peer group (1%-ers) the discrepancy is ridiculous.

Still awaiting to see how the far left reacts to this. I am not making assumptions, but guessing that the club was packed with mostly liberal leaning voters has me curious how they will react now. The left loves the idea of letting Muslims into the USA to live their lives and the left loves the idea of gun control. Now both of those things have deeply impacted their ideologies in one tragic event. I understand that like any religion there will be some radicals who do not represent the masses, but these events do not help their causes.

As the BBC news put it in their reporting "Just another day in America"

That is sad.

I highly doubt you will see an extremist shoot up a country western bar in Texas.

Odd how in this incident people keep saying "my prayers...blah blah "....

Praying with a book that says gays are an abomination...Probably the same people who were picketing the popular gay marriage debate...are now "praying for them"...it's almost like....they are real people...who deserve human rights...

You can't get married NOPE!!! SINNERS!!!!!...Buhhhhht if someone starts murdering you...then suddenly I have compassion and human empathy. Religious blidness lead to protests and ridiculous amout of media coverage in the gay marriage issue. This was a hate crime. What form of media is known for promoting segregation and "us vs them"? Oh that's right...religion. I wonder where one would get the idea that being gay is bad? Hmmm...oh that's right. Religion. He prays to a different invisible voice in the sky. That's the only difference. This should be an eye opener for human behavior in general.

I can't imagine what the family and the wounded are dealing with. My thoughts won't do shit for them. Whispering to the invisible sky person won't either. I've given blood. I'll donate to a reputable charity for the victims families. Its about all i can do 3000 miles away. Humans are humans. Time to start worrying about big picture instead of what bathroom we use or who is marrying who.

Ps gun laws are stupid. He could have used gas, homage bombs, lit the place on fire. A 9mm hand gun. The bullets or the amount of them isn't the problem here. This mofo was investigated by the FBI TWICE. That's exactly 2 more times than I've ever been investigated. If the gun control system operated as efficiently as the IRS this would have never happened.

Remember the cartoon exhibit in Texas? Those two guys had an arsenal from what I remember. 1 sharp shooting street cop picked them both off and they only managed to get off a few shots. I can say it was comical because no one got killed except the two would be terrorists.

Yeah, I just saw that one vid...too slow to be full auto.

Not even close to automatic, and not overly quick for a semi-automatic.

It's very methodical control. A lot of mental preparation and emotional discipline went into that individual if he wasn't trained elsewhere. He's firing no faster than it takes for him adequately acquire a target while suppressing the crowd.

He was either trained, heavily disciplined, or was simply born an effective combatant. The first two require time to achieve the performance goal, and the last requires time to for such an individual to be grown and located.

No matter the case, there was quite a bit of time between seeding of the event and its execution.

I'd like to know how many rounds he fired in total.

Cheers,

Kennith

As far as I'm concerned, what his ex-wife is saying about him and what those trigger pulls say about him don't line up. I've seen three videos: One at the beginning, one I suspect to be around the middle, and one near the end.

The pattern is nearly identical throughout. That's not a man currently suffering uncontrollable rage issues.

Cheers,

Kennith
