The silence concerned me Kenny. I know how many words you can write in this amount of time

I feel I should tell you that your doorbell doesn't work.

Nah, I was just in here with the fabricator next door debating the best way to swing my television out of the way, because it's too heavy for a wall mount. We're going to make something that bolts to the concrete instead of fucking around with the I beam beside the screen.

He's off ordering some hinges now so we'll be ready to mock it up next week.

Cheers,

Kennith

We have dog. Also some new info.

Finally talked with my buddy and got info on what he's experienced with this non breed specific four fucking legger . He's had the dog in his yard and had a stand off 15' from his back door. NOW GET THIS..... all he had was a can of
Off and sprayed that in the dogs eyes......the dog ran off yelping. I'm feeling good about my odds.

I was trying to talk to him about the thing last week and the phone was breaking up so I never talked to him till today.

With this many people having problems with the dog I might bait it to the back of my propperty and hammer the fucker out. Then just take the old sno mobile trail out and act like nothing ever happened. If they file a police report the boys down there know what I plan to do. I got the green light. This plan has cleared the tower. But if thats my plan I need to talk to another guy about him having his dogs put up when this goes down. I need to cross his propperty to get to the trail.

Seriously?!?!?!
You plan to kill a silly dog for coming into your yard that didn't even harm anyone or thing? Your dog did it's job & chased it off your property. With that many people (all 2 of you) having issues with this dog, just keeping calling animal control. Not sure what state you're in up North but I'd bet if the owner had to choose between putting his own dog down & getting a fuckin leash, he'd hopefully choose the latter. Use your pull with the 'boys in the tower' to get animal control involved quickly.

First thing I did when we bought our house is put a fence up. Mostly to keep our dogs in and an added bonus of keeping other dogs out. Unfortunately other animals like skunks, possums and ground hogs still make it in... skunks are ahead 3-0 but the others are not fairing so well.

You should go back and read the original post smart guy. All this has been covered. I am not going to kill the dog with a can of fucking bear mace.

Why should I spend thousands of dollars on a fucking fence for his damn dog. Just me having a problem with his dog is enough for this to happen. But you know what. Maybe your right . That dog really has more right to run loose than I have in my own yard, and hey shit you know what? If that dog attacked me or my child on my property it would really be MY fault. If his dog charges at me in my yard and doesn't bite me, should I just continue to allow that and hope he never follows thru?

Don't worrry you can watch the video too. It should be awsome. All you pit lovers can rally around it.

This post kind of sums it up kk88rrc. I really don't want to kill a dog. Read the first one then watch the video.

I would never do anything to hurt a dog just because it wondered onto my property. This dog was coming hard and my dog charged right back at him. I think the size of my dog freaked it out.i also don't want to hurt the dog if it was just doing hot laps and not really charging anything.

I know you guys who live in normal suburban places would think this is all crazy talk and there's rules and animal control and running water. But you guys who live in some really rural backwards ass places know what I'm talking about. Until a person gets hurt by this dog nothing will be done. Google map 60034

The owner of the building is a total dick. I never fuck with him cause it could get worse. He had no problem with the fact that his tenants dog attacked a leashed dog on the sidewalk in front of his building, and some of the blood was in my yard so some of it happened in there too. Not his problem and it appears the law agrees.

So now that you know my sad story I'm just wondering what's a really really good pepper spray for dogs?

We have a 6ft wooden privacy fence. If you have reasonable back yard I would highly recommend one. It keeps pesky animals away but more importantly it keeps pesky neighbors away. After you have one there's no going back. If I had lots'a land there wold be no reason for one, but this isn't the case in today's home.

I'm just holding on for the pepper spray video...

It's going to take time . The dog is back but he's being pretty careful now. I'll bump this thread back to the top w when I have a video.

I have no idea what a Facebook thread looks like Blue. I don't do Facebook. I think that's for people who like other people. I figure there's 4 to 5 billion people in the world and I can tolerate about 8 of those people.

8 people? You are a social butterfly.

Tolerate not like. I never really thought about what it would be like to like people. I told my boss I could give him about 5 people to call that would assure him it's not a good idea for me to talk to customers. He told me he didn't have to talk to anybody, he knows.

I can dig it. I don't like many people, but my social skills are way above par. That said, I've been educated in social disciplines just in case I may need them...

...And I'm also cheating.

Whenever I provide training that involves that kind of cheating, though, I warn the hell out of people that they will not like what they see, and it'll be a constant effort every day to avoid doing it.

I'm all kinds of fun to be around when I'm just myself, though, even if it's a bit of a unique experience.

Cheers,

Kennith

Just a little bump to the top here. Got a call from my wife that the dog next door finally got sprayed with the bear repellant. She was out in the yard and the fucker pulled himself off whatever it was chained to. Whatever was remaining of the porch it was chained to was keeping it from getting anyfurther than about 6 ft into my yard, but it was tyrying to get at my family. My 18 year old son was home and outside washing a car. He said he walked up to it while my wife was gathering her shit and trying to get back in the house. Boy said he hit it one time with a short blast of the shit and it looked stunned but shook it off and wanted to get him still. So he unloaded on the thing and it couldn't get back in its own yard fast enough. Said he was bucking around like a wild bull and rubbing itself into the ground. Guy came out and looked at the dog, then looked at my kid. My kid looked at him and went back to washing the car. Animal control was over there this weekend. Don't know who called them, but I just got off the phone with them and they are on the way back out there. Cops have been there and a report has been filed.

Who ever recomended the bear repellant...Thank You, it works as advertised.

I'll take credit for that one :D

That's a scary situation your family got put in, but now maybe animal control has enough evidence to make the problem go away permanently. My parents had to go through a similar thing with their across the street neighbors. It was pretty open and shut, but dad still had to go to court and show a bunch of pictures of the dogs loose and on our property.

Hard lesson learned for the dog. Hopefully it learned.

should've sprayed the dogs owner as well

It's not over yet. This morning dog went out a first floor windo to harass someone on the sidewalk. I had 2 sheriffs out there this morning. Found out animal control was out there this weekend because it harassed some women walking her kids to the bus stop. So 3 times in 3 days animal control has been at his house. They say he's getting a $100 ticket today. 3 police reports since last Friday.

I finally figured out animal control don't care about the people around here so I changed course. I told them I was concerned about the well being of the dog cause it's pulled so hard on the chain around its neck that it's damaged its vocal cords and can no longer bark. Told them it's chained to a porch and I don't see any water for the dog. Said I was concerned about this poor mistreated dog. Now it looks like there doing something.

It's a big old goofy fucking world

I'm an advocate of pits. I volunteer at a mostly pit shelter. I'm a pit owner. I've rescued dozens from bad situations. I currently have two pit mixes. I've found that arguing with someone who's already made up their mind about them is a lot like having a religious debate. Most of the time it's pointless.

That being said...I would have done the same thing. Good for you. This dog (even if it wasn't a pit) sounds psychotic. You have every right to defend yourself buy whatever means. It sounds like you've gone through the proper motions to eliminate violent correction. I hope this shit bag owner gets attacked first then put the dog down. At least he'd be doing a service w his aggression.

Btw my killing machines. We also have an Australian Shepherd mix. Guess which one of the pack is the Alpha. The gay looking fluffy one. These dogs are constantly trained and socialized. They travel with me extensively. We are a pack. A life that essential for dogs. Especially big ones that can do damage. Chaining up a dog to a porch doesn't make you a a dog owner. It makes you an asshole. Rant over.

If you have control over your dogs I have no problem with whatever breed someone wants to keep. If this was a golden retriever it would get the same treatment. I've had a dog or 2 with me all my life. Big dogs. But I always say the worst thing that can happen to your dog is someone being afraid of it. A guy moved in near me not to long ago with one of those American bull dogs. Big scary bitch. First time I saw that dog it stood up and looked at me from about 15 ft away. Guy came around the corner and told that dog "down" dog laid right down. I never gave that dog another thought. Not concerned about it one bit. Not worried about my kids ,my wife , nothing. This isn't about pits for me, it's about my yard and my family. I'm starting to think I'm gonna have to kill it, but I hope not.
