My thoughts exactly, and even the 2020 has much more of a connection than it's stablemates.

I'm sort of seeing the Sport as the new Range Rover. The Range Rover itself is some manner of halo vehicle at this point. I don't think I'd buy one.

The L320 held up well. The thing looks as old as it's ever going to look right now.

That said, a clean, polished P38 in silver is still drop-dead gorgeous. I'll be getting one before people actually realize how timeless they are.

Cheers,

Kennith

And Landy Rover went way overboard to make sure it wouldn’t rust out like the RRC. There are a few special editions as well My concern has always been the horror stories around the electronics.

My H&H is going to need some love.

Mechanical should not be that big a deal, but how to deal with some of the interior wood and the tintern green paint might be tougg.

i picked up a well maintained 2000 P38 off a fellow Discoweb member for a very reasonable price. it was cheap enough i was going to let my son drive it.

when i picked it up and climbed in it was immediately clear that the truck was far too nice for a 16 year old.

my wife drives it now and loves it.

it is by far one of the most comfortable vehicles i've ever been in. i love the look, love the ride and really, kinda dig the EAS.

Does anybody know when these will be showing up at dealerships? I'm still morbidly curious to actually see one on person (and maybe get a test drive while I'm there). Regardless of the opinions of many, it is on my short list for my next vehicle.

This seems to be the consensus among people who are interested here (everywhere?). It is a merely a potentially likeable option.

There is no lust.

There is no, "I don't care how it drives, that thing is badass."

There is no, "I gotta get one of those."

I cannot imagine this would be the reaction LR hoped for.

On the bright side for LR....another of my short list vehicles is the RRS.

Sooner or later, I'll need to replace one of my D2s as a daily driver. I only half joke when I tell people I have three Land Rovers because you need that many to have a vehicle to drive on a daily basis. My G4 is currently giving me sporadic fuel delivery issues (dropping power to the pump)

I recently sold my RRC so now my household's only automobile is the D1. Some days I feel like I'm rolling the dice but so far I don't have cause to regret the decision. And by that I mean the decision to rely on the D1. Every day I regret the decision to sell the RRC.

that’s literally been my approach. No joke. And this approach has proved its merit on more than one occasion.

It may be a while since the Slovakian factory where they are made has been shut down since mid-March. The ETA for my 110 was going to be late May to early June - the exact build date was supposed to be 4/6, so today... where is the crying emoji? - and it would have been among the first ones to make it to the local dealer (I am in Southern California), excluding the dozens prototypes and test mules that got here in January and have been making the rounds at various events, photo ops and dealerships across NA (not sure if they would use those for customer test drives.) Now, it's all up in the air.

Just looks "meh". Did they take that picture in access mode? Looks like the ass end is squatting.

It's photoshop... That vehicle was never at a cliff in a storm with giant waves crashing in the background. When they say "Together we will get through this" does together include the people they will inevitably lay off?

That's something I just never got.

People go off the beaten path to enjoy the outdoors or drive along a trail, and stop constantly to get out and take pictures of an empty vehicle.

Cheers,

Kennith
That's because most people don't travel with a camera crew to film them driving. The pic of the vehicle in the foreground is to say "look where my insert vehicle here got me. It's usually done in unique places and with vehicles people have a personal attachment to or are just plain cool. So I don't anticipate too many shots of the new Defender as you described. :ROFLMAO:
