My complaint about the Bronco would be the same as with the Defender. Computer screen on the dash, driving mode this, driving mode that. I don't want a vehicle that wheels for me. In that context the Grenadier would be more my style. That said yeah, Ford knocked it out of the park.
I feel the models without the Sasquatch pack will look a little more subdued. Steelies plus a white top on 33’s will suit just fineOn the flip side...it's a little too "Tonka toy" for my taste.
I think Ford hit it out of the park also. This truck will be huge blow to the Jeep market (and a death blow to Defender sales).
Yep. Electronic this and that I really don’t want either yet at least with Ford the odds are they might work down the road. And if not, parts are relatively inexpensive.Still, I like it. Give me a 4-door with the rubber interior and 35's with those fender flares.
IDK what the state of corporate espionage is, maybe people at Jeep knew more about the Bronco than some people at Ford did. If not I bet there were meetings called and email exchanged at Jeep HQ this morning.
I had almost talked myself into somewhat liking the new Defender and this makes me hate it all over again. Not that I needed it but all of talk from Magovern was bullshit. Realize the markets aren’t apples to apples but thi thing is square as a brick and is available with 16” wheels.
Agreed. So disappointed to see a row of computer screens across the dash. That shit won't age well. What's wrong with good old gauges, dials, and needles? And the stupid rotary driving mode dials suck. Give me my stubby gear lever to engage 4-high, 4-low, diff lock, etc. And that lame ass "not a step" label on the back of the middle cubby.....why not go ahead and reinforce it so it is a step? Still, I like it. Give me a 4-door with the rubber interior and 35's with those fender flares.
Ha! Yeah, me too... Seeing the new Bronco bitch-slapped me back into reality.
It's based off the global Ranger chassis, but supposedly will have a much lower payload, so towing will be 3500lbs. It would be cool if they offered the 2.7L with the manual trans, currently is only available with the 2.3L. But having a manual trans option at all is pretty cool.
