Now tuned, I really like the Canyon. It gets over 30mpg on the interstate. I once got 36mpg on one 450 mile road trip. It also has a lot of power for a little diesel. My concern is all the high tech components, particularly emissions, that can and will go wrong. It recently has been having difficulty starting with cold weather in the morning. No error codes and it is fine over 40 degrees. Just today I put some anti-gel in the fuel but I have not in the 5 previous years needed to do that, even down to zero degrees. I thought maybe it is bad glow plugs, and it may be. However, I can’t find another single example of bad glow plugs in these trucks after posting to a few forums and Facebook groups.
