There were a few things causing fires in P38's a while ago. There was a recall for radiator hose clamps. Those were failing and causing some fires. I replaced mine and had no problems. Also a problem with battery acid leaking onto the fuse box. My P38 had this but I luckily caught it in time...

Not sure. They tried to epoxy it to hold until they could get to a bigger town but it didn't hold and they are stranded about 5 miles from Clarksville, TN.

I feel your pain Rick. I haven't flown in probably 12 years or so and missed many vacation opportunities because of my fear of flying. The last time I flew I took a valium (can't remember the dosage) when I got the airport, and had a margarita while waiting to board. It worked for me.
