Good Luck.
ok, torqued the heads again to 80lbs, car drives much better, theres some very little shaking.
i guess the head gasket is bit damaged from not being torqued right, the first time.
ill drive it like that for now, till the first sign of irregular temp, i will replace them again.i did add an...
JhonB, thats exactly what i was thinking, im going to open the VC, and re-torque to 80lb.
thats what ARP suggested, but i asked around here and also called Mark, they all said 60lb.
i shouldv listened to my gut and go with ARP suggestion.
Thank,
Leo
it did overheat, maybe 3 times before the head gasket job.
i really dont mind doing it all over, its no big deal, sure it sucks, but what can you do.
the thing that running in my mind is:
- why wasn't the job successful, i followed rave, machined the heads, torqued to spec...
- is it possible...
what can i say, the studs just looked like the better option, maybe i was wrong.
theres no CEL, when stationery i can rev the engine hard, no vibration.
i torqued them at 65lbs and used the torque lube that came with them from ARP.
no oil in the water, and no water in the oil, i did it, used arp head studs, torqued down to spec, machined heads.
it wont over heat, i drove it for like 10 miles today.
03 disco.
head gasket done 500 miles ago, truck was running great.
i was missing little coolant, and just wanted to top it.
now as soon as you hit 25-30 the truck vibrate and theres no power.
theres is power up to that point.
i tried to bleed the coolant system again, i get very little to no...
it will align itself with the lower intake bolts on.
put the clamp hand tight, use rtv on the clamps (both sides) and where the water holes go (both sides).
then put all the lower intake bolts and youll be alright.
after you torque the lower intake bolts, torque the clamps, done.
