This says it best. It's completely useless, and would not work except in some very very specific and unrealistic circumstances... But it's that exact scenario when you do find the right set of trees, with easy to attach anchors, on hilly, rocky swamp land, with bears, snakes, vicious pumas...

I have the cheaper (street legal?) one in my carburated 3.5. Works like a champ! No more melted points.

My 2000 F250 with the 5.4 gas tows a flatbed trailer and my DII with all the extra armor very comfortably. If you're going to be towing more than a couple times a year though, the diesel is the way to go if you have the budget. You can find 2000's for under 10k... beware the spark plugs...
