    D2 Remote Key Question?

I usually use the plain non remote key that came with it to start the truck because I'm always afraid I'm going to break the new remote/key in half on accident. When I was shopping for D2s one of the keys broke in half in the ignition...sort of slowed things down as the owner fiddled with the...

    Code P1884, Disco runs weird

Huh. No unfortunately I don't have the scanner that does live data. Can the inertia switch cause this? mine was broken off and laying down on the inner wing.

    Code P1884, Disco runs weird

Hey, I just wrapped up a head gasket job on my most recent acquisition, an 02 disco with 140k. Everything seems to have gone fine except that it doesn't quite idle right. When I first fire it up the revs move around a bit by themselves and it doesn't seem very smooth. It's ok when you get in on...

Do I need to have the heads skimmed here?

Looks like mine are going to have to be machined anyhow. The gasket that was on there left a bunch of little pits on the head.

Do I need to have the heads skimmed here?

I'm probably not that competent. So you're telling me I should have the shop check to see if it's straight?

Do I need to have the heads skimmed here?

Will do. I'm actually out in the sticks about an hour from chicago so people don't even know what a land rover is; thusly; they will not charge extra. It's crazy though, I'm selling D2 parts and ALL my business comes from Chicago. Seems backwards. Thanks, I will shop around, see what I can do.

Do I need to have the heads skimmed here?

Hey there, I'm in the middle of a head gasket job on an 02 with 140k. Bout ready to remove the heads, new gaskets on their way. I've heard people say that you need to have the heads' mating surfaces skimmed by a machine shop, but the RAVE makes it sound like it's only necessary if the heads are...

97 D1 Won't Start After Fried Coil Pack

I checked with the spark tester and I'm getting NO spark on any wire.

97 D1 Won't Start After Fried Coil Pack

Here's what happened: I thought my D1 (166k) might be running rough because of a bad coil. So I ordered a cheap new one to test that theory, and it actually did work much better. However, while I was out test driving it, I had to go through a big puddle to avoid oncoming traffic. A couple...

    Parting Oxford Blue 00 Disco

Hey guys selling parts off an oxford blue D2 that had 170k on the clock. Motor is probably not worth saving (slipped sleeve) and tranny is sold. Other things I've sold: Bumpers 3/4 Lock Actuators Radio Steering wheel Fenders, hood, doors are all available, 70 per fender and 70 per door. 120...

97 D1 Runs Rich and Poorly

Ok well I haven't posted in awhile because I was in England for a week. Now that the weather is warmer here the oil light hasn't come on at all. I ran across a plug wire tester which says that cylinder six is getting no spark and 3 and 4 are getting intermittent spark. At this point the only...

97 D1 Runs Rich and Poorly

I'll put in whatever effort I have to to make the engine right. Even if I do part it the engine is a valuable thing to sell.
