Have you removed your ABS sensors or pulled the fuse because the ABS sucks? If so, I want one of your sensors. I only need 1 for the front right as mine has gone bad. PM please.

hmm... this didn't work. Went ahead and installed the new starter. Cranked very fast. Drove it a bit and cranked it about 6 more times with no problem - I am not declaring it solved yet; another 100 smooth cranks and I'll start to trust it. So either it was the starter or the land rover...

Just pulled the starter... it looks fine (teeth and all). This one is in warranty so just called to get a new one - should be here by 6pm. From the small patch of the fly wheel i can see, the teeth look fine. If I put the truck in gear and roll it forward, that should turn the fly wheel...

I believe you may be correct... My cruise control was working fine until my ABS light came on. I checked fuses, hoses, etc. and everything was fine... just wouldn't work. My ABS light is on due to a wheel speed sensor being pushed out. Plan to fix it this afternoon and hope it fixes cruise...

You think the brand new starter is worn out after 2 months of use? I may have a spare somewhere... might pull it and switch it out.
