Front and rear t/case output flanges

Looks like it's sorted after he called Tom Woods, who knew what the problem was. My guy made both driveshafts with the same transfer case mount, so either the front or rear wasn't going to work.... Not sure why LR decided to make one larger than the other, but given up figuring some of their...

Front and rear t/case output flanges

The front one fits fine, it's the rear that doesn's. Sorry I thought I put that in my initial post, now I see I didn't. He made both shafts the same for the transfer case mounting, which doesn't work as the rear output is smaller than the front. So is the rear the same as a DI? I have a P38...

Front and rear t/case output flanges

Got new cv driveshafts for the '04 DII, and one doesn't fit, which seems to be a mystery to the place that made them. Looks like the front and rear mounting flanges are different for both pilot hole and bolt pattern. Is there an adapter I'm missing out on? My driveline guy is kinda stumped...

    First project on the DII

Running hard all last year, and so far this year, so not had a chunk of time at home. Axles are all ground down though, while I wait for parts for another job (Vanos, timing chains, guides etc on a M62TU, ugh) Decided on 4 link in the rear, and angled radius arms up front, like the Clayton stuff...

    First project on the DII

Tucked behind the winch tray on the bumper. All 3 pumps hooked up and working right. Would guess @1 gallon capacity. Mounted via a length of 2" x 2" angle iron welded to the front of it, which is then bolted to the bottom of the winch tray. Used shit I had laying around, so maybe $10 in paint...

Fuel Injector comparison, stock vs Ford vs Volvo

I used the Ford Motorsport injectors in the P38 when it had a stock motor with just a cam in it. Hard to tell the real difference as the Rover ones were no doubt pretty worn, but the idle did smooth out. Worth the money if you are needing injectors anyways, otherwise.... Martin

    First project on the DII

GE decided to cut the job short in their wisdom, so got home again. Made a washer bottle out of some sheet metal I had laying around. Mounts behind the bumper winch mount and fits all 3 pumps. Will be making a skid plate for under the bumper, so it will be protected. Will post a pic after the...

    First project on the DII

Feel better? The suspension wont be "stockish". But if it was, am I bragging in anyway about what it will or wont do? Nope. I build stuff to not break, not to try to prove myself to anyone besides the wife and kids. Too old for that. If I put the stock wheels and tires on it, and left it...

    First project on the DII

I'll be fucking clueless then I guess. Always that pissed off when folks dont do as you say, or am I your "victim" of the day? Either way, internet fights are always retarded in my book, more so when it's someone else's money and time..... Oh well. Done axle swaps before, and the principals are...

    First project on the DII

I've committed to buy, so will try to pick it up this coming week. I dont see how its a bad call, when just the axle shafts alone are over $1500. But maybe I'll figure it out. I've sunk money into stock axles before, to the point where I HAD to keep them regardless, and am hesitant at going down...

    First project on the DII

Undecided on the suspension setup at this time. I may just throw them under there and make some brackets for the radius arms for now. My old Heep had Clayton long arms, and they worked fantastic, so may even go with something like that. It's starting to come into our busy season, so it may be a...

    First project on the DII

Not at all, or I wouldn't have bothered sending two places emails about a price for a OME lift kit, regeared 3rd members with ARB/Ashcroft lockers, upgraded axle shafts, and so on...As a package deal. Yes, I could go online and find the individual prices in no time, but would you not expect some...
