Just an update for future searches. I sold the Rover, and the new owner said the issue was just a plugged injector. It must have happened with the fuel pump and filter change.

It's worth trying to get a dealer to perform the service gratis before doing alternate repairs yourself. While you can't see how they would cover it, you never know until you try.

Plugs and wires are about 3k miles old. Ignition module is in factory location on distributor and has under 1k miles (probably under 500 miles.)
