I've had the (selectable) ARB air lockers for so long I forgot what the advantage of or if (Detroit)? (price?) They (ARB's)are literally "magic buttons" and have been pretty reliable (had a compressor issue once) I'm sure there are other options but can't complain about my ARB experience.
Mine is under hood drivers side (near firewall )close to brake fluid resevoir Easy to hook up and access doesn't seem to get too hot there. If Rover wasn't 800 miles away (Rockies) I'd go out and take pic of the mount. Good luck.
Speaking of fuel pumps-is a buzzing or humming noise (from rear) symptom of failing pump? happened to be out in middle of no-where Colorado yesterday and noticed the (Buzz) (even when in park) so not drivetrain I remember previous(fuel pump) fail made similar noise but was more of a...
You were correct (2nd gen.D1) wish they would have informed (maybe they sent something) I opened the replace shock and it is the same (shock body at top ) never took the time to change out this weekend still can't tell any difference
I have the(new) Fox replace shock from RN still in the box already out there honestly I haven't checked to make sure shock is correct ( I should have done that) I'll take some pics next weekend and try and resolve my debacle the Landrover is out of site and out of mind most of time...
That's another story this is the second Fox shock (rear) that has broke at the base or bottom of body? they are the extended travel units and actually I haven't really done anything crazy off roading mostly driving on washboard or dirt trails out there I don't get it
We are flying out next weekend and I will take photo before I change it out. Since I moved the Disco out to our cabin (middle of nowhere Park County ,Colorado) there is no convienient repair or service shop closest is place in Fairplay when I dropped it off there they seemed...
I'm hesitant to even divulge this (especially on this site) but humor me. I broke a(rear) Fox 2.0 on my D1 (bottom off the body of shock?) Figured i did it out in Moab so ordered new one from RN they sent me new one no problem my LandRover is out in Colorado now so I didn't feel...
correct-I got the jerry can(idea) after coasting on fumes on I-70 (in eastern Utah on way to Moab) most of that was ignorance but there weren't many options (fuel) in that area(10 yrs ago?) there are fuel stations in Illinois Landrover is now in Colorado (where the can actually has come...
Wow I thought someone had dug up one of my old post a few years ago (out in Ouray) my D1 was doing the same thing (overheating at altitude)(or so the gauge was giving impression) 2 seperate days it did it at the exact spot (which was a steady uphill climb) that was the first time since...
Mine are GBR. Used when I got them 6-7 yrs ago.Still good after years of thrashing. My fronts are Rovertracks. Some occasional popping when tight turn.Know they are of business.Driving them until they blow.
I have D1 so they weren't on to start with but after some wheelwell modifying in the effort to free up some space for larger tires I riveted a set on to cover up the trimming. Been on for close to 4 yrs. Not sure how they attach from factory?
UGH! metal shavings, ect. when checking grease/fluid cleaned it up and put back together until I figure out ran great all weekend? Had a bunch of snow and was out playing did great
Ha! yeah, since I added the snorkel maybe the supercharger effect is just too much for the little guys(QT's) or maybe I'm just such jackass driver and as Flyfish alluded I should treat my luxury off road vehicle with more care and respect (of course I haven't checked the motor mounts...
