yeah it sucks. I decided to go out and buy a new car on monday. now I have to get rid of this asap because I do not have the room for 4 cars, more so since only two of them actually run. My Datsun 510 isnt going anywhere, I am going to be buried in it. Then my wife has a new 2012 Mini Cooper...
No longer available. I was driving to pick up a foosball table and I lost all oil pressure. I am just glad I didnt sell it before this happened. I would have felt horrible. I am possibly going to sell it as is or part it out.
Exterior:
Black with no major damage. Does have a few scratches and very minor dings. The front bumper plastic garnish has a crack in it. It is not the painted part of the bumper. All lights, turn signals work great. One of the rear tail lights has a crack in it but it does not affect...
I was able to get the crank sensor out but that damn dongle is a nightmare. Any secrets? I am going to drop the exhaust in the am to see if I can get it out.
Thanks stu, I am off to the LR dealership. This is what I thought it was going to be after reading another thread but the lights and the codes threw me for a loop. 100.00 for each guess on what could fix the problem could add up quickly.
ok, I let the Disco run at idle in my driveway to see if I could reproduce the issue. After around 15 to 20 minutes it just died. The power was still on and the engine temps were good. I was working on my project car in the garage so I couldnt see if anything lit up again. No codes, wont...
if it was a failing alternator wouldnt my battery be dead? I know once an alternator fails the vehicle will still run but just off of battery power till that has run out of juice.
I went out and checked my grounds, battery terminals, etc... all my grounds were clean and tight. The positive battery terminal was covered in acid so I gave it a baking soda bath and a wire brush cleaning and it looks like new again. Before I cleaned the terminal I checked for any voltage...
Well I know that P1668 is an alarm fault. I am thinking the alarm was doing a fuel cut off. But no horn honking. I hope the ECU didnt take a dump or is about too
Well today I had a weird one. I was cruising along and all of the sudden about every light on my dash indicators lit up, 3 amigos, hazards, everything. Then I was losing fuel and then pulled over to the median. I have a hand held obd scanner and came up with the following codes: P1884 P0335...
After tearing it down it turns out that the bolt and washer were still attached. The rubber and outter pulley separated from the inner metal piece that attaches to the crank. So my harmonic balancer separated.
Any way to just lift the radiator without diconnecting the hoses? I only need...
Thanks, i bought a used one this morning. The whole balancer is gone like the bolt came loose and flew away along with the balancer. Ive read a few people had similar issues since land rover has it threaded inreverse. Not sure if there is any truth in that.
Yesterday i was in the in n out buger drive through and my harmonic balancer separated. I couldnt reconer all the pieces cause it flew all over the place. Any thing i should do while i replace it while i am in there? I am replacing it with a new balancer from rovers north, a new sepentine...
Anyone ever pull off the steering wheel cover off a D2? Mine is looking worn (tan interior) and I dont want to pull the whole steering wheel off to shoot some dye over it. Just wondering what it looks like without the cover on it if anyone has any pics that would be great.
I have a 04 D2 SE7 that I might sell you. Not sure what you consider low mileage but it does have 93k. Only one issue, exhaust manifold is a little noisy till its fully warm.
