02 disco gret/tan se pkg 92k miles 3000 obo

this is a truck i sold 2 yrs ago. poor woman lost her driveshaft which popped a hole on the tranny. she immediately pulled to the side of the highway on xmas eve and had it towed. she can not afford to fix it so she asked me to sell it for her.
se pkg, roofs, heated seats, 2" toddco spacer lift...only 92k miles.
only dash lights on for tranny.

truck looks good! could use a cleaning on the interior.

clean and clear new york title in hand.

Go ahead an inquire to that. You will get spam email from hell not long after. Besides, it needs a whole new engine and most likely has way more miles on it. That is not even a close comparison.

truck might be worth 3000-3500 with a good trans, so that minus the cost of a new (or used/rebuilt trans and labor to put it in cause it is no fun without a lift) would put you in the negative.

how are the heads? if they havent been done, they will need to be done soon.

IMO, list it on craigslist and hope for the best. you might get lucky.

I just bought an 01 se here on the forum that needed a trans, paid 1600. Wouldn't have paid a penny more. They go for 3-4 k, trans installed is 1k and if you want to deal with the BS you expect to save something to make the effort worth it. Also figure towing and other shit that needs to be fixed (drive shaft in this case).
You should just offer her a reasonable amount, fix it and sell it on ebay this way she is happy and you can make some money in labor...

i will post pick soon. had some issues pop up a work i had to address. i will ask her if 1000 will work but doubtful in the delivery. no damage or scratches, rubber is good. it was one of my trucks i had a couple years back. great running truck when i owned it. only thing i noticed on thinterior was threar ash tray at the bottom of center console. nothing else out of the ordinary. i think sykesville is only about 7hrs away. if you come up i'll buy the beers.
