Mike,

A stock D2 with 16" wheels needs a tire meant for an 8" wide rim... especially if you plan to air-down for sand driving. Go with the 265/70-16 (30.7" Diameter) BFG AT. The 245/75-16 (30.6" Diameter) works better on the D1 which has a 16 x 7 wheel.

I have 2 cats, and I was just wondering how their asses could be a good thing? I guess if it were not for their asses I would not have to clean the litter box as much. ;)

I am not so much worried about the actual sand driving as I am the sand stoping and starting again. I want to park on the beach and fish and then be able to leave again.
