I don't know that this is really that hot of a deal. If it needs a new motor you are looking at 2500 plus an install. You are getting close to what you could buy a problem free one for.

Offer them $200. A scrapyard pays you $50 to come and collect your scrap vehicle, so at $200 he quadruples his money.

IF it was cash for clunkers then the engine gotta be toasted so it cant be sold as a complete vehicle.
