I am posting this for a friend so don't contact me, call him.
He has a 1997 D90 Willow Green for sale with about 48K miles on it. Only 300 of these were built. All the hinges have been replaced with stainless steel ones due to the rusting. He has a warn winch, diamond plating and roof rack with lights on it. You would never guess it has 48K miles on it because it is in excellent condition. He wants around $52,000 for it but he might work on the price. His name is Phil, location is Columbus, Ohio. Call him at 239-220-3848 if interested or to get some pictures. Thanks.

He called me and asked for a favor and so this is what I did. I will agree with you all that the price is too much, I'm not sure if he is involved with the LR community. Maybe I'll call him and tell him to lower his price. At the end of the day it is his truck, not mine.

Hes dreaming. Limited edition or not way tooooooooooooooo much

Its a common aspiration. Stories of the glamor of the junk yard life put stars in the eyes of youngsters the world over.

Dang! I opened this thread 'hoping' for $24-28K....I'll keep saving my pennies, I guess.

$52K is crazy money though.

GOOGLE FOR SALE D90. they start out between 13 and 18k! 20's for a decent one and mid 30's if you want to go through the stealership (sorry guys, but we've all done that haven't we). 300 made or not it's already had parts replaced for rust. Tell him to put it in the Robb Report if he's thinks it's that much of a treasure......WOW

and lets not forget this month marks the 25th anniversary of the defender!
3 words...ANTIQUE and IMPORT and DEPRECIATION.

If anyone wants a 97 limited edition in excellent condition with all the goodies already on it for 29 call NORTH TEXAS ROVERS. no joke

For someone who wants us to think he's so knowledgeable on these vehicles, you completely blew it by not recognizing that once they hit the 25 year mark, they can be imported from overseas...

Defenders are going to become as easy to get as Series trucks. Some in better shape than others, but it's not like they quit making parts for them or anything.

Like I said earlier, if you have a question or comment feel free to call him. Maybe if someone were to explain the situation to him maybe he will come down in price.

I don't think it's smy place to tell someone what their truck is worth. I might laugh and point, but I'm not gonna destroy their dreams.

Who knows, he might get it!
