Not 300 hp but tight enough. Has straight pipes so it's a little loud. Rust is about what I expected as in all the problem places are rusted but the floor pan is solid enough. Rear tailgate has been replaced lately and is really nice. I am going to put a real lift on it (currently has pro comps and big blues) and wheel the snot out of the thing till it rusts out then swap the stuff to another truck and do it again.

300 horsepower is damned near a 50% increase over stock-if it really has a 4.6.

I doubt the SVC I was working on today generates 300 HP with five pounds of boost.

To achieve that on a normally aspirated Rover, running the lucas injection, it just ain't gonna happen, I don't think the injectors will flow enough fuel to achieve 300 HP, much less the fuel pump, and if we could, it would be mighty hard to flow enough air into the heads using anything but a very tall cam to achieve those sort of claimed power ratings.

But, it's Marty's truck now and I told him to buy it. Now, my only hope is that he doesn't call me asking me to run the block number and we find out it's a 4.0, not a 4.6.

Hey Nathan-thanx for referring Jack to me, it was very nice to speak with him after not hearing, nor seeing him for almost 25 years, he was a good friend back then and I'm glad I hooked up with him again.

Drew Sabota has been Dyno'ing some 4.6L configurations and 300hp is easily obtainable.

mod motor 4.6 maybe, LOL

Seriously though, I would love to see the sheet on a 4.6 rover making 300 to the wheels, should be interesting.

In what configuration?

I'm sure it's possible, but it would require significant mods and someone advertising an engine as such had better be able to list those mods to substantiate their claims.

As for horsepower, Mark's been doing some really cool stuff lately with the 5.0s and if I get lucky, he might have enough parts left over for one for me!

I could find out for sure, but the little bit I know is that he's using P&P heads, D&D cam, 4.6 crank with 4.0 pistons, and a UK 4.6L automatic P38 ECU.
