NOTE: This vehicle is for sale complete, but is also being offered for individual parts. See the parts sales forum (figured it was better to list them separate). Sale of parts is contingent on sale of whole vehicle, and vice versa. I will update this thread with any removed parts for transparency.

After several years of making plans for reincarnation, I’ve come to the decision that it’s time to say goodbye to our totaled 1994 D1.

The story: my family’s the only owners, bought it new in May 1994. Drove it for 11 years until it got hit by a tree in October 2005. Still was in perfect running condition when that happened, it just happens to have a big dent in the roof and a buckle in the side. There’s a thread somewhere on Dweb about this from the time.

After tinkering with fixing it, we’ve decided it’s time to let it go. I’ve replaced it with a 1993 RRC LWB, which I’ve come to love so much over the past 2.5 years, and have had so many adventures in, that I can part with the old Disco.

The Disco is likely only for parts, unless you have an idea for a project that basically requires a frame and drivetrain. Drivetrain has about 180,000 on it, well-maintained with regular Mobil 1 oil changes – but also not run in almost four years. The interior has been partly exposed to the elements, as the right side windows were blown out, but as it was covered tightly in a tarp and plastic sheeting, it is still in good shape.

I just want this truck to go to someone who can give it a good final home, whether it’s someone who can recycle it for other Rover owners, or someone who has a lofty project in mind. I don’t want to tow it down to the local scrapyard to be crushed amongst Fords and Chevys. It was a really good truck to my family for years, and I want it to give a bit back to the Rover community in the end, however much is possible.

A few things that are NOT included:
-Spare tire/carrier/cover (keeping for RRC)
-Grille (memento)
-Jumpseats/brackets (we took one out, and they could be useful for a future project. Negotiable.)
-I’d love to keep the wheels, if possible, as they’re Castors with good tires and I’d like to have them as an extra set for the RRC. Of course, they are essential for moving the truck around. So this could be negotiable.
-There may be a few extra parts which I could pull for the RRC – just little things and such which might be useful. Roof nets, door pulls, etc. Maybe some little under-engine stuff. Nothing major.

Pluses:
-A brand-new oil cooler (Atlantic British, genuine part) was installed about six months before the tree.
-Relatively new power steering pump (if I recall, about a year pre-tree), though there were still the usual Rover PS issues.
-Rear Bilstein shocks, brand-new, under 1K miles on them. Fronts are still in the box brand-new, negotiable.
-Was a fully-equipped Disco, pretty much everything available in 1994.
-Tan leather interior, worn but not too much for 11 years of use.

Otherwise, it’s a well-maintained Coniston Green 94 Disco that's been sitting a bit that needs someone to give it proper last rites.

Give me your price, and we’ll take it from there.

Photos to come if needed – at work right now, so can’t take them. Will try and get some during the week before work one day.

Located in Somerset County, NJ.

Contact info: email me at seagirtlight AT gmail DOT com.

EDIT: Open to parting. Email me your request, and I'll get back to you.

to part or not to part? that is the question. if you decide to part her out, how much for the bil's (for a stock lift)? & your finest tan leather seat cover in front, either one as long as it's the plastic clip kind.

I hate when trees jump in your way...

To clarify...it was parked in a Nor'easter. Took a 14" limb right to the B-pillar.

As edited above, I AM willing to part out anything that won't disable the truck's ability to move. Email me -- seagirtlight AT gmail DOT com, or post/PM on Dweb.

you buy it. i dont want the whole thing. just a few pieces.

Which pieces?

After seeing the requests and response to parts requests, I'm now seriously considering parting it out myself. (See Parts forum.) Possibly for the right price, I could give the task to someone else, but I have to admit, I'm kind of enjoying doing it myself. Gives me one last little bit of bonding time with the truck, taking it apart myself.

I may be able to satisfy some of that now...some of that later. PM me.

And FWIW, body shell (the internal one) is bent to shit. There are body panels, however, that are in good shape -- all except the roof and (possibly) right hand doors.

For the record Ratboy is hybrid hasidic jew/Scotsman/Bedouin and throws around money like a straight edge gangster on st paddys day. You should also know that parting out rovers is a vile trade plied by the bottom 2% of society, none of which are welcome in polite company. Keep that in mind before you join our fetid fraternity.
