95 Disco with mods- Northern VA-now with pics

Yup, that's right- my wife's 95 Disco is going up for sale. She wants a newer Rangie.

Approx 110K miles
Epsom green with beige cloth interior (SD)
245-75 futura MT's. Spare is new, rears are better than fronts- but I'd change 'em before winter.
Adventure rack with composite flooring, axe/shovel mount, limb risers
Roca Silva fiberglass snorkel
2" Big Blues- two years old.
ProComp 9000 shocks, less than 1 year old.
Bearmach front skid plate
Bearmach winch bumper, 4 months old
Ramsey 8K winch, roller fairlead (3 years old)
Bearmach HD tie rod ends and new tie rod
New rear window ECU
Dog guard
Hitch w/wiring
Recent stuff done:
New stepper motor
All new PCV/vac tubes etc
New 02 sensors included- not installed as they are not (yet) needed
New cap/wires/rotor/plugs
Recent battery
Serpentine belt/alternator two years old
All exhaust from cats back w/lifetime warranty
New power steering lines included- leaks slightly but not enough to justify the time to install
NEW OEM mats front/rear/cargo area
New speakers- which suck, originals included
Uniden CB mounted overhead, glass mount antenna

Pictures will be coming soon- it's set up for off-road use, but has only been offroad lightly and only a few times since we converted it from stock. Records since new. Recently restored the CDL linkage and new brake pads. It's reliable and cleans up very well. The stereo is original and sucks- that's the main thing I'd change, and the panhard bar and bushings should be replaced, otherwise no major faults.
Offered for $6K
It's in South Riding VA if you'd like to see it. I'll post pics soon.

Over here in Falls Church,VA you can get 2 bed rooms, 1 full bath, 1200sq feet of living space, on an 1/4 to 1/8th of an acre for the small sum of $550K to $600K or more. Not to mention that the houses are 50 yrs or older and most require updating after you buy it.

I think that price on Steve's house is cheap considering the difference between his and mine.. Mines probably the same size as the shed he keeps his lawn mower in.. And yes, it is crazy..

Sorry, hijack over...

I'd like to point out one thing.

"Adventure rack with composite flooring, axe/shovel mount, limb risers"

Its actually a Garvin Wilderness rack with StarBoard flooring. Push those selling points Steve. That flooring will outlast the house you are trying to sell. ;)

Gee Eric, you must be in the bad neighborhood of Falls Church. A girl I work with was just about to buy in Falls Church and it was $800K. I believe it was an end unit townhouse. It wasn't new but I don't think it was one of those 50 year old places either. Absolutely crazy!! She backed out of the deal at the last minute because the appraisal came in $14K low. She offered to split the difference but the owner wouldn't reduce, he then ended up lowering it the full 14K later to sell it.

So Dan, how much for 300 acres without the house?

Sorry, hijack not over yet...

Oh yeah- wilderness rack- I couldn't think of what that thing was called when I wrote it up. For those interested- that rack was once on Steve Andrews' Disco, so there is a good reason for me to raise the price.

Honestly, I thought at 6K this thing would FLY out the door. We're picking up the new Rangie soon and need the space.

Damn, $520,000 will get you into a 3500+ sq ft, 4 bed/3+ bath house in Wynlakes, the nicest neighborhood in Montgomery. If your willing to live outside the city, but still in the county, that same price would get you a 4500+ sq ft, 4/3 on 5+ acres out near Pike Road, the fastest growing area outside the city. For that matter you could get a 3500+ sq ft, 4/3 with 4+ acres right on the water of Lake Jordan for that price. I've got a friend who just priced 250+ acres of hunting land in Tuskegee, about 20 minutes north of Montgomery for right at $350,000. Ya'll need to move to Alabama...

Yes, I'm not in a nice part... I'm over between rt 50 and 29 off of Graham Road if you know the area at all.

But, I only paid 150K for my house. :)

Bite me Steve. I'm sitting here in PGC wondering what's wrong with Bailey's Xroads. I was going to make an offer on your damn D1 until you alienated me. Looks like a drunk with a cigarette lighter could stagger by and melt your snorkel. God knows what someone tore up on Frescatinis would do to it. I think I'll order a Ledo's Pizza and reread the 'Home Defense' thread while I wait for delivery.

Colemore or on the other side of rt 50 from the Seven Corners Mall in those apartments would be great places to live.. Hanging out at the Eden Center I hear is always a great time too.. Ya, there are certainly worse places to live in this area then where I'm at.

How's your new place?

Sorry Steve, hijacking your thread again but, hey at least it put it back on top again. :)
