I'm near Chantilly VA- Dulles Airport- South Riding to be exact. Outside of rush hour, it's not a bad haul from PAX.

Steve, a newish method sellers are using around here is to price the property a bit too low, and review the offers that come in as people try for a deal. The low price gets their attention and then the panic ensues and they write higher offers. My realtor pal told me last week that it's working and sellers are getting either the correct market price or $10K or more above. FWIW.

Actually, we were pricing it under the market using that same technique and it didn't work. the offers came in, but from people who had no chance of getting financed. One guy was planning to attempt a 95% loan on $541,000 with an annual income of $40K and no assets... I 'filed' his offer... Another place similar to mine although with about $10K more 'stuff' was on the market for $50K more at the time, so I figured I'd sell quick. No market movement at all.
Kinda like my Disco- It's priced about $1500 below what it's worth and still not sold. I'm gonna put a $8K price tag on it and park it on the street- I bet it'll go better that way.

Hell, if you're selling the house for over $550k, it shouldn't bother you one bit to just give away that Disco. Whatdya say, pal? ;)

It would be the same price- but would have to be pre-paid since it's headed to VT to be my winter beater in two weeks if not sold here in VA.

Too many... We stopped in the dealer really quick to schedule a brake caliper installation on my 04 under warranty and they had the 04 G4 certified on the lot. It's got Alpine video screens in the headrests, Alpine XM radio... good shape. Got a better deal than most dealers will sell a G4 for- and wife's birthday is during our MAR trip so I figured I'd reward her for putting up with me. She was so happy she cried when I handed her the key this morning and told her she could have it. How can that be wrong? That's now three 04 Discos in the driveway- since I've really kinda taken over Gordon's S7 too.
I know where there's another 3 door Rangie now too that's under market value- the temptation to bring home every Rover is hard to fight.
I would have preferred to buy from Alyssa, but it kinda fell in my lap...

I am absolutely GREEN with Land Rover envy. Hope to see them both at MAR! (oh and I would have cried too!!! Life is easy for you guys with LR-lovin wives!)


I've got a friend in town who might be interested in another Rover...I'll point him to this thread.....

I was shocked- We were leaving the parking lot and I said- hey look, there's a G4. She said 'hey, lets go look at it' which is something she's NEVER said before about any car or truck. Five minutes later I've got a 7K below asking price agreement from Alfred Ramos- from whom I've bought four trucks. The rest is history and the great pumpkin is sitting in the driveway.
