The truck is automatic and has 232 K miles on it, I have owned the truck for the past 10 years. Of course, I personally thought the car was (is) worth more than $650, and I am amazed to see such nice older trucks sell for under 2K...Been trying to sell it for 2 months, starting price I asked was $1200..no hits. It sucks for me because unless I throw a new water pump and fan clutch in, it really needs to be moved from where its current location (my ladies house). The truck leaked coolant like a sieve, but never was run hot, but I assume with such high miles, the truck will be more of a parts truck. Interior is nice though has the usual...sagging headliner, driver side window actuator needs repair.

Well, you are in Georgia. I can't imagine Land Rovers are highly desireable. Maybe a Ford or Chevy, with the biggest diesel you can squeeze in, and monster mud tires.

You've already come down half, why not just spend the couple hundred, throw on a water pump and fan clutch, and sell it for 1K. Most people won't buy a truck they can't drive home. And for some crazy reason, everyone thinks these are money hungry leeches. Have no idea where they get that idea from.

Discojapan,

We had a water pump bearing go on our D1, broke a chunk out the water pump due to the blades hitting the housing. Water was gushing out like crazy. Emptied the rad in seconds.

You forget the gangbangers who love the cachet of the marque and the fact that older Rovers are cheap. They keep the independent shops humming as long as the repair costs don't exceed the value of the truck.

In metro Atlanta I can't go five minutes without seeing a Rover.

Still haven't spent the time or money to fix the Disco. Just listed the truck on CL for $875 - DiscoWeb price $650. Can text 678 617-1537 for additional pics/details.
