Where the hell do these assholes get off!

I got to the airport more than an hour early. Did the kiosk check-in then got into the line to check my bag................................

Hour Later, They said, everyone one in the line for the 7:06 flight should move over to Special Services, because we had missed our flight.......

There where over 50 of us.

This is the first time in years that I have checked my bag.:banghead: :banghead:

As long as everyone continues to put up with this shit it'll continue.

If they had a 70% drop in traffic I wager things would change.

My favorite is when they board a plane knowing it will be parked in the penatly box prior to take off for over two hours.

I hear your pain, I travel a lot for work and they all suck and they don't give a shit. I've noticed a big increase in delays and cancelations in the last year.

What airport where you? It's not in the news but I have a feeling there is a lot of tension between the airlines and the numerous unions that represent the enployee's and I wouldn't be surprised if there was a strike soon.

Indeed. I also travel for work and the plane ALWAYS changes gates at the last friggen minute and is late. It is quite annoying.

I check my bag, just one less thing to hassle with on the airplane.

You're correct. It would change becuase less passengers would produce a faster turn-around.

Unless it's extremely unique circumstances, I refuse to fly.

Every Monday I fly from Richmond To Cinci.

Every Friday I fly from Cinci to Richmond.

This has been going on for 5 weeks and will continue for another couple.......

I hate it

Only temporarily. With a reduction in the number of those who travel, it is safe to say that there will be a proportionate reduction in the support personnel (TSA, airline, etc.) which will ensure the continuity of the clusterfuck situation at the airport.

Driving to the coast of Virginia from Ohio - 10 hours and approx $120 in gas
Flying to the coast of Virginia from Ohio - 3 hours with a transfer in Philly - $124.

I'm flyin. This will be the 5th time I have flown anywhere. Would rather drive, but the above is a no brainer. Of course, I will not have a car when I get there. But do not need one either.

Shit, I guess I've been lucky... I don't fly that often, maybe three times a year at most, but it's been 15 years since my luggage has been lost, and I've never missed a flight. Agreed that it's a pain in the ass and you shouldn't have to arrive two hours early, but I don't see things changing anytime soon. No matter the political party, NOBODY wants to see another air-based terrorist attack, so all this bs securitythat doesn't make a difference is the CYA policy for whoever is in office. You know it, and I know it, and nothing is going to change it, not protests, not petitions, not even boycotts.

I fly American whenever possible and I pay the extra $90 per flight leg to upgrade to first class whenever it's available. It makes the flight so much nicer. If you get stuck on the tarmac, at least you're drinking.

I don't fly American whenever possible, same for Continental and US Air.
They all suck, but these three top my shit list. Even Alitalia is better than American.

Keep all Muslims off of planes flying into or out of America and I'd be perfectly happen to have zero security. Park in the lot, walk right through the terminal, up the jetway to the plane and get on. Enjoy your flight without all the bullshit and without going boom.

Shit, I remember just 11 years ago (i.e. pre-9/11) sitting and having beers with friends on San Diego Bay and looking at my watch and saying "well, my flight leaves in a half hour, better down these last ones and head to the airport."
