Man, how I loved living in Virginia. Right in the heart of three great Rover clubs that had events and happenings pretty much every single month.

I sure do miss all my ROAV, BRLRC, and CROC friends!

Don't get me wrong I do love it here in Michigan ... BUT I can't find ANY Rover Owner's clubs. I mean in the past year I've only been off-road ONCE in my DII - and I had to drive 13 hours to the MAR to do that!

The people at the nearest dealership looked at me like I was talking a foreign language when I asked them about off-road clubs for Rovers.

Anyway - giving a shout out to fellow Rover owners in Michigan and surrounding areas who would like to get together maybe at least once a month or so ... is there an existing club nearby or is there anybody here interested in forming our own Michigan club?

The GLLRC guys are all great! I hooked up with them for a run to Drummond Island over the summer while I was in Michigan. Even though I was just there for the summer they all welcomed me in and helped me find a welder on the island after I broke both rear shocks on my rig

If you had provided an e-mail address in you rprofile, membership info could be sent to you.

I was gonna have Bruno contact you, but between the GLLRC website not providing an e-mail address for the club and you not providing an e-mail address, you're on your own.

I try, but can only work with what's provided to me by the various entitites.

I can confirm that we're a great bunch of Rover Owners to go wheelin' with - except Michigan isn't exactly brimming with options to visit..................However, we'd be happy to have you along, even when we visit Dan on the URE! or the MAR folks, etc etc......

Thanks guys.

Unfortunately we're not coming down to MAR this year due to some other obligations. We're really unhappy about this, but that's the way it goes sometimes. (We are still trying to work it out ... )

And we missed Uwharrie also -- maybe we can come down next year for the Spring event.

My email is lee@socosolutions.com for anyone with any other info. I'd really appreciate more on the GLLRC.

Thanks guys for all the responses - still loving Michigan but hating leaving all the friends behind in Virginia.

All the best,
Lee

There's an event (small I'd guess) over in New York (Springfield) on November 3,4,5. About an 8 hour drive or so my map maker tells me! I'm planning on going. It's based on some guys farm and my contact says there's good 'hill climbing' to be had........

FYI

Hey all!

Been very inactive here but probably moving back to the Richmond area this spring so definitely looking forward to re-connect with everyone (especially after missing 2 MAR's in a row).

Ready to go riding with my buds again!

See ya soon,
Lee Collins
