It will be fine. Too many richie rich types have the product and can't stand the embarrassment of it failing.

His lack of presence on the forum this evening is probably confirmation of your suspicion...

I'm under my truck trying to figure out how the FUCK to get the rearmost bolts off the oil pan.

...did I mention it's raining?

...and dark out?

:banghead: Fuck this, it may just end up being a goddamn oil change. The goddamned ticking can fucking WAIT.

Stop may be dropping a bit more due to reaction of iPhone 4S being released instead of 5. Public reaction isnt so good at this point. Granted, Steve Jobs passing a way will just be a temporary blip. But if you want to buy Apple stock. Tomorrow is the day to do it I would imagine.

I'll be in the back yard pouring out a beer for a fallen homie. I suspect Knewsom is already on it.

I poured out apple juice.

In all seriousness, amazing he lived as long as he did. ~80% of pancreatic cancer patients pass in 6 months

edit: if they changed the look keeping the same upgrades and called it an iPhone 5 it would be a different story

I don't think you'll see any short term stock drop as a result of Jobs' death. It hasn't been a secret that he was very ill and his illness had been factored into the price for a while.

The issue is the long-term outlook of the company. Steve Jobs was a brilliant designer as well as being a completely intense CEO. It is hard to imagine that Apple will be able to have the kind of vision that Steve Jobs had.

I've often wondered just how it is that some folks can take an idea and convince folks to follow so blindly that they'll put up with assholery of a "genius".

I don't know that I've ever read anything nice about Steve Jobs as a human being, it's almost always negative.

I've known some presidents/CEOs of fairly large companies. Those with the lowest AQ (Asshole Quotient) seemed to be the ones who got the most done and inspired the greatest loyalty. I see it in my clients as well, there are some who think because they are wealthy, they can be inhuman and inhumane, yet, there are some who are really cool and it makes one hope for such good fortune. I had to fire a guy a few weeks ago because of his AQ being WAY too high.
