maybe not on here but suprisingly he keeps posting on LRRforum acting as if nothing major is wrong. i'm glad i received my bumper when i did and didn't have to wait another 5-6 months like some

There's also guys over in that forum that will post up an email from Nate saying "no trimming required", get the parts months later, find out they have to trim, ask him about it, Nate says "My bad it was a design change" and then they say "ok, cool just wanted to know. I like buying new power tools and going through the hassle to make shit fit that should've fit since I bought it thinking it would fit." hurrah for Nate being such a stand-up guy giving me a set of sliders/bumper/limb risers/whatever at reduced cost to buy me off on not calling him out on a crap product. He's awesome!

And that whole attitude "it's under your truck, what did you expect it to look like for $190" attitude remind anyone else of the dbag who sold the G4 and said "your still getting a nice truck".

Scoundrels, the lot of them.

It takes 10 months because it is a custom product and because we are that busy. Right now, we are booked with new orders through the end of April, everyone has a fabrication date, everyone knows that date, and everyone is willing to wait for our product until that date. Lastly, yes he was told two months and at the time that was the case, since then I've suffered the death of an employee and personal friend. This was ontop of many other issues. I am sure at one point or another in your life as is with everyone you've run across a tough time where everything ran less than smooth. We did what we had to do to make it through, we are on the tail end of it now and regardless of how it looks on your side, as I've said before we are stronger and marching on with lessons learned.

It's ok their just busy

Look at Orange County Choppers....those guys don't take even close to that long to build a custom chopper from the ground up. 10 months for a fucking bumper?

Those covers are pretty cool. I'd consider taking out the storage cubbys in the rear of my truck and getting a set if you end up making more

I can probably do a one time limited edition production run on them. I'll look into and start a new thread in parts for sale.

I stuck a RRC ARB bumper on my Disco with no body trimming.

... and you know why is that, Rob.
Because ARB bumper is a typical aussie thing - sticks out a foot in front of the truck. I don't know if we are talking about the very same bumper (that once graced Dee Cantrell's Classic), but when I measured it up for the Disco, it looked completely out of place. But it would bolt up all right.

As far as _good_ bumpers go, you need to notch the grille to mount a GDE aluminum bumper on a D1.

Nate,
Is this really an example of your QC? That's shameful bro.....

I can look past quite a bit of hassle and delay, if I am not calling in a part that's actually needed. That sort of quality, however, is simply unforgivable.

That's not just ugly. It's dangerous.

That's got to be some kind of fluke. I can't imagine anyone intentionally sending that out the door with approval. There are some popular places that have made some assed-up shit, but it was functional and wasn't dangerous. It's one thing for your quality to be a bit shoddy, but this is like selling someone an axe-head glued to a paper towel tube.

Sooner or later, something is going to fuck up, and it's not going to be pretty.

I don't like to crack on people like this unless I'm speaking with themselves or a vendor, but those belong in a scrap heap. If it was a nasty bumper, I would leave this alone, but those hold your damn axle in line. Well, they are supposed to, anyway.

Cheers,

Kennith

The sliders are already rusty 3 months later, and did not come with the hardware as even specified in the instructions he sent. He did offer to send me a refund for what I spent on the hardware. I didn't get back to him on it.
You got instructions with yours? That is not fair...

Day 291 -

Still waiting to complete my order from 4-16-10 for rear bumper, swing-away tire mount with jerry can holder, and promised partial refund for all the wait. Bumper received in Sept, swing-away arm in late Oct, jerry can holder and an extra jerry can holder for the hassle that was promised have shipped now twice. Once on Dec 10th and again Jan 15th per the emails I have received with no tracking number either time. I have not seen either shipment nor the partial refund that seems to be having all kinds of problems getting through the credit card system. :banghead:

Test the welds, they won't break. Beat the crap out of them, you wont damage them. Other than that, they are under your truck, would you like strength or looks on a 190 dollar shipped set of trailing arms with no core charge?

Nate

Hang it up man your work is absolute garbage and it will kill someone given time.

To defend it by saying it is "under your truck" is the most moronic comment I have heard from a vendor on this site to date.

And thats alot of dumb comments over the years.
