Archery Elk season began Sept 1 here in Az. Coworker and neighbor have both been out for one week/two week hunts. Neighbor didn't get anything, coworker caught a cold. Not sure if either drew tags for deer this season.

I have looked into Elk hunting in P.A. but the draw seems to be a bitch. You also have to have other people along so the logistics suck. I would love to do it one day.

I wish we had some Elk in O.H.

Did you shoot anything yet?

Neighbor Rick got a elk cow on his second hunt. I'm waiting for my steaks :)

Haven't shot anything yet. It's been raining every damn weekend.:banghead:

This coming week should be the start of the rapid fall cool down and should get the deer moving more.

Got any pics of the Elk?

Hey Dan..............NICE RACK!

Ponies - you can always get around the draw. We used to drive up and hand our applications for doe tags in person at the Ridgeway Courthouse, and we ALWAYS got doe tags. And those were always a draw, and we were non-resident hunters too.

I would be glad to go along with you on an elk hunt in PA, as I am a state resident now. And I am sure I could find other guys to tag along. EVERYONE hunts that I work with.

Nice buck!

I got pics of 5 different bucks on the trail cam last night. From a spike up to a good 10 point. I am just waiting for the weekend to go. It should be pretty hot for an all day set.

Gun season starts here saturday but it's supposed to be 70 degrees. I hate shooting them when it's hot as you have to rush to get them cleaned and on ice or they go funky.

Nice one Dan. I have a nice mature 8 running near my stand, saw him once but no shot. Yesterday went up and noticed he made a big fresh scrape 25 yards from my tree.
