Hey guys thanks for the input.

No one will know what I drive at whatever firm I work for as the garage is in the basement or offsite. The place I am leaning now is 60miles round trip and frankly I want to enjoy the ride both ways. The places I have interviewed know I am a car nut (had a great conversation with a partner about vintage ferraris).

I would like to amend my list to include a ferrari 250 GTE, though I doubt anyone would drive one 60 miles a day.

928s humm, that is scary fast, maybe an S4S. I actually like them but alyssa said no to the "fish bowl" porsche

S4? There was one 2000 for 17k with 50k on it that went through the dealer some months back but . . . eh, quattro I hear is $$$$ and it does not handle like RWD

alyssa and I have almost no debt, a nice house, and for the cost of the type of cars I am looking at would be about the same as depreciation on a normal associates car (325i, TL, etc.). It sounds vain but cars are my thing. It is not to impress others, it is the grin factor doing 105.

Accountants drive accountant cars. Lawyers drive porsches and BMWs

Eric: I have a few concerns about the MayBach. 1) Will it come with the option for a trailer hitch? (How else can I pull my yacht?) 2) Can I have a Kayak/Bike rack combo made for the top? (I cant live without my Bianchi..I just traded my Cannondale for it ~ Now that's speed). ;)

Servants. have them figure out the details and dispatch the gulfstream....

No need to muck up the maybach.

Excellent choice. I love bianchi's. I have a Kestrel, but am thinking about going custum. Steelman baby! But given ron's statement of loving to drive and applying it to cycling, should I start looking for used Seven odanata's or what ever they are? ;)

Excellent choice. I love bianchi's.
Have you owned one Eric? Any feedback would be great!! My dad has ridden them for years. So I thought why not?

"the z3 is my wifes and she is an accountant, next spring were getting a boxter."

Z3 (non-M) and boxter are accountant cars: ie I want "fun," er rather to look like I want fun, but only in moderation.

;)

as far as the civic, I have a good friend who refers to the three series as the middle income civic. LOL

How about some business humor:

What do you call an actuary? An accountant with no personality!

What do you call 1000 lawyers chained to the bottom of the sea?

A good start.

Bianchi's are nice. I personally haven;t ridden them for 9 years, but I really liked my old Reparto Corse steel frame. Well built, stable and confidence inspiring is how I would describe it. A coworker has a newer bianchi and absolutely loves it.

I will appologize to your wife only because it does not have an automatic. sorry :p

"I have always been told Ron, that it is uncouth and unbecoming to drive the "nicest" car in the lot when your a summer intern."

I can tell you right now there is zero chance of this at any of the firms I am considering, a lot of these people seem to like their cars to either be red with a horse on it or german with the word "turbo" or the letter M on them. I was almost late to one interview after staring at the 550 in the parking garage for too long.

My father has been collecting lawyer jokes for 26 years solely for my future benefit. I have heard them all. :D

Soooooooooooooooooooooooo

XJR? Screw it. I am getting a 250 GTE and my own personal mechanic. or perhaps a plus eight turbo . . .

Something used and unreliable. I tried new and reliable and I got new and unreliable.

Ron , I am wondering why it hasnt crossed your mind yet that nothing is going to stay running? How much junk have you created in just the last few years? Most of the people here are still trouble free with the same ole junk and you are continuing to create junk... Sound a little Fishy ????????? I have a feeling that nothing is going to stay running long no matter what it is. The only thing worse then a fairly useless flashy car is a completely useless flashy car....

You some how have the uncanny ability to waddle thru posts and pick me out. Is there any rhyme or reason to this? I refuse to say where I worked this summer nevertheless I will give you a single hint.. There are a couple of BB's. With that being said ... There were no SL 600's, Ferraris, Lotus, MayBachs, ect (There was two Austin Martins and I failed to find out who was driving those) in the parking lot or garage where I parked. Mind you this office has well over 150 lawyers. Yes, there were a few 3 and 5 series, a great lot of Volvos, a few RR, an Audi or too. Again let me use a quote from earlier:
I could be wrong, again it is obvious from previous posts that we do things a little different in the midwest/southern states versus the ivy league region. What ever you choose good luck.

I want an apology too. Ron they have an office in New York. You just never know, I might pass you one day on the freeway in this ;) :
