What does being from San Diego have to do with football? I would rather be in the south and have great football then ever have anything to do with California.

In San Diego, pretty much the only football that matters at all is NFL. The only college sport that counts is Aztecs baseball (coached by T. Gwynn).

As a product of my environment, I do t give a shit about college football, basketball, or really anything other than pro football and baseball because I never had it growing up. Not sure if I wish I did, or if I think you guys are all lame for caring. :p

Don't most sd teams have more away fans at their games than home fans? Especially when they play another ca team like the dodgers, raiders, giants, etc...

Depends on the away team and how far they have to travel. Anyways, SD for LIFE baby! :patriot:

The college football/campus atmosphere is better than the NFL game day atmosphere and I'm not putting down the NFL as I love NFL games. If you haven't been to a big time college game then go to one. Soak in the whole campus/game day experience thing. I'v been to games at Oklahoma, Nebraska, Missouri, Kansas, Colorado, BYU, Utah State, Weber State, South Dakota State, and Oregon State universities over the years. I wish I was wealthy enough to just travel around in the fall to all of the big time stadiums and see games. For anyone who hasn't been to a bigtime college game then do so especially if it's to a campus where you have some rooting interest. You won't regret it. Same way with bigtime college basketball games. Better than the NBA.

11-3 and an ACC Championship.

Disappointed, but I'll take it. Better than 2-8-1. And no scandals, NCAA violations, arrested athletes...the good and the bad, the ying and the yang...

2-8-1? You talking about the VT 92-93 season, last time yall didn't go to a bowl? I was pulling for VT last night and thought yall had it there for a while.

Yes I hope Arky lays a beatdown on ohio state tonight. It will be funny if they get the crap beat out of them with everything going on.

Uhh AU at +3?? everywhere I look its Auburn at -2.5 or -3. I'm going to make a bet when I'm in Vegas this weekend before the game. I have a few bets made but making my auburn bet in Vegas. If arky covers and LSU covers I'll win a 5 game parlay.

Yes, '92-'93. I was a senior then. I remember saying I just wanted VT to have a good team - don't need to win a NC- just be respectable. Got what I wished for the last 18 years.

VT got beat by a team that does what VT does - smothering D, run the ball down the opponents throats. That game was lost in the trenches - VT couldn't stop the D rushers, and couldn't push back on the Stanford O-line.

There was a point when it was 4 and 1 in the early 3rd, that VT went for it. I said if they don't convert, they don't deserve to win. They didn't, and they didn't.

On a side note - I don't get the hype over Luck They got those big bomb TDs (and a ~ 150 yds passing) because VT had 8-9 in the box and was still giving up 10+yds/rush. When the only guy back gets burned, well you get big plays. I didn't see him do anything that made me say "Holy cow!" (Unlike T. Taylor's TD play. I thought Jaws was going to propose to Tyrod on national TV).

I agree with you about luck. He is a good qb but he don't do anything that leaves me dumbfounded. I laugh when they show him "running over" that guy and then go on and on about how tough he is. Cam ran over LBs from lsu arky arky st USCe(twice) and uga for toughdowns. Tie-rods td pass was awesome and he is easily the best qb since Vick...cam had a pass even longer and more impressive against Kentucky though ;)

Arky lay a beatdown? Good luck with that and hope you didn't bet on it.

With Ohio State being 0-9 against the SEC and having not defeated any teams ranked in the top 25, I think it would have been a safe bet up until now...

Ohio State will have to wait for next year to get their beat down. U of M will be on the rise now that Rich Rod is history. Watch for Michigan to be restored to its rightful place among college football elites. If I was close to Vegas, I would definitely bet on it!

Well arky almost covered but trust me my friend...it's not like o laid downone bet that was a 5 game parlay. I'm still up hoss. Ohio state got lucky probably played the worst game this season, not to mention everthinf else.

And yes I would be shocked of rod stayed rob AYFKM? If Michigan drops him like they should that would be great for AU for frost and la'el Collins considering miles would be #1 on michigans list.

I think Rod's done, but I was simply making the point that it's not over yet, and kind of being an asshole.

If I know anything, it is being an Ohio State fan is tough to do. You want to say they are inconsistant, but they manage to find a way to win. Seriously, I wish they did play more SEC teams. Lord knows all of the Big Ten teams need to learn who they really are. Right now, it looks horrible!

In reality, OSU played a great first half, shitty second half, and Arkansas lost that game themselves by cocky little shit receivers who could not catch the damn ball! Not to mention the penalties.

I am not and will never be a Pryor fan. When he plays good, he always manages to find a way to screw it up before the end of the game.
